Fear

So this is stupid but I'm trying to hold myself accountable for things even if my whacked out brain puts it at the bottom of the pile not to see light for another couple of months and then the panic of failing kicks in.

I'm not worried about failing, I've done that a lot, I'm a dab hand at it.

I'm afraid of succeeding and I think I'm sabotaging myself somehow so that I don't succeed. It makes no sense but it makes sense. Imposter syndrome warped into some weird mutant monster guaranteed to be a hundred times worse than anything else.

If I do well with selling my art even through a POD then I will have to make more and what if that isn't as good? What if I get one good thing and then it all goes to crap? What if it doesn't? What if it doesn't and then I lose all inspiration and can't find anymore because I'm spending all my time desperately trying to make something.

Stuck

Anyone else start thinking about all the things that they need to get done and then just don't? I did the thing and then sat staring at my screen because I had no clue where to start.

I'm doing nothing with my art, I've got a half finished piece that I need to work on and do all the social media recording reel things to try and actually earn something but I just can't. Housework, my actual work, creative stuff, Christmas and I just can't. And I'm a list maker for this exact reason and I don't want to start writing any of it down because I know I won't get it done.

The stress of not doing it is making it worse and now I'm rambling here instead of actually doing any of it.

Jon Favreau saying Din Djarin was never meant to be Star Wars Aragorn is dumb on many levels, but primarily because no one saw him as Aragorn!

Aragorn was born to be a king and knew this his entire life. He struggled with it, rebelled against it, and then finally realized it was his destiny. No one in Star Wars is an Aragorn.

Din Djarin was never born to be a king, and he never considered that he would be one. If Din is anyone, he is King Arthur, a person who performed an extraordinary task to win a powerful sword.

The idea that the story was not setting Din up to be a leader is ridiculous, though, because in all three seasons and The Book of Boba Fett, we see Din as an effective leader. In several episodes and across the story arc, Din brings people together to fight and win unlikely battles. He manages to diplomatically get different groups to work together. He comes up with the plans that will take advantage of everyone's best skills. He puts himself in positions of extreme vulnerability because he knows it's what they need to win. He also manages to pull off some incredible moves of his own that just make everyone go. "Wow! That dude is awesome!" Din does all this while still being respectful and kind to the point where at the end of the battle, the people in the group are willing to follow him anywhere if he asks.

Then you have the audacity to sit there and tell me you didn't create a king.

Strange Way of Life is scheduled for tomorrow. I’ve seen a rumor that P might not attend due to Gladiator but I’m still betting he will. Nothing confirmed.

The end better be spectacular

I think the writers from this season were so intent on setting up everything for the films right now, this second, that they missed out not only developing the relationship between Din and Grogu but also showing more of Din.

We know he was saved by mandalorians after his home was attacked and was taken in as a foundling but like the flashbacks we have gotten of Grogu in the temple during order 66 we could have had Grogu getting a little bit of Mando training and then get a flash back to Din when he was starting out, struggling after literally losing everything. Or him going through a gangly phase where he grew and became all long awkward limbs and got his butt kicked. 

There was so much to show us, so much of the two of them being a clan together and learning together and we got nothing. All these side quests could have been paced between all these moments and would not have made Din a side kick and Grogu a supporting character.

It just looks like they got the green light on all these other projects and they did a Brad Wright and just threw the only reason they got those projects in the first place under the bus.

Din is the mandalorian and the only replacement for the titular character barely has any armour yet.
