Alright y’all. The hockey AU is happening. And since it’s starting to feel like it’s an actual thing, I’ve made a side blog specifically for it! So if you’re interested all the future updates will be over there! I even made a quick little logo!

Im like 95% sure the fic is gonna be about the Kids on a hockey team, and like 75% sure it’s gonna be Oak family centric (everyone’s gonna be there, maybe some different POVs as we go, but I think I’ve got a good idea for an oak family centric fic).

My plan is to have the boys play on a line together, but I also kinda wanna make Terry Jr. the goalie (because he just has that vibe in my brain), though I might just give up that idea and make Paedon goalie instead. Lotsa ideas floating around right now.

Gonna finish watching the World Jrs (go USA!) and sleep and see where my vibes are at in the morning.

I do promise the idea of a hockey AU is in safe hands with me though for anyone curious. I grew up playing, and still play here and there nowadays, plus I work at an ice rink for a hockey team now! So I’m very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport. Again though, super down to brainstorm, bounce idea off of, and take input from others in this adventure- I’m not much of a writer, but I’m excited about the idea!

Unfortunately thinking really hard these past few days of biting the bullet and writing my first ever fan fic in order to make an actual, proper, DnDads hockey AU.

My only problem is that I cannot decide if it’s the kids as the players, and making the dads hockey dads, or if the dads themselves are the players. Because it’s two different vibes, and I can see either way very well. Plz help influence my brainrot.

She's my favourite character in season 3, and probably my favourite overall aside from Ron, so I've loved the recent episodes focusing on her.

Spoilers for Episode 12 - I loved how they went more in depth about who the original Trudy was, especially with the whole group contributing.

I had the idea of the first Trudy being far paler, with grey hairs from the stress of constantly working whilst Tucker does nothing to help around the house or with Timmy. Also I have the idea of her jewellery being originally pearls, but with so many Trudy's being made it was more efficient to instead buy a lot of cheaper orange earrings and bead necklaces than finding the same set.

Like most gays, I’ve been wildly unwell about the ending of arcane.

I’ve been coping by listening to “Spin the Wheel” (https://youtu.be/Ns0N8bcB95I?si=068mMLXYVWlAQCtU) on loop for like the last 24 hours because I have a lota feelings about this song.

That said- wondering if this post can find its way into a very specific niche, because I cannot help but so vividly picture an absolutely soul crushing CMV/AMV/PMV type video of this song specifically about TAZ balance and I need others to picture it and suffer with me.

I’ve been getting my roommate into DnDads this past year, and she just started The Peachyville horror today! So I figured I’d go back to episode one and re-listen so we could talk about it and I heard something that made me go: “huh”.

Transcript for episode one:

Will: Okay, same goes. It's really cold and heavy in your hands. You see a weird freaky reflection of yourself.

Kelsey: Oh. Interesting.

Will: And then I think maybe, Trudy, you feel like a little bit of power that you've never felt before.

Beth: Oh wow!

Will: You feel a little bit of like, you're seeing this version of yourself in this reflection, and she's scary looking and distorted and strange, but there's something compelling about her as she gazes into your eyes.

This is when Trudy and Kelsey are picking up the trophy for the first time. And Will describes it as cold, with a “freaky” reflection for Trudy, Kelsey, and Tony but- Trudy is the only one he mentions feeling powerful from it.

Spoilers for episode 12, but like- was Will referencing the 5th sister in Trudy’s reflection here? Idk, just a thing that gave me pause on a re-listen.

hey so. Trudy having this whole episode about the horror she felt when she realized she was pregnant about how a child would trap her for the rest of her life in an abusive relationship. And once she finally gets out of the relationship the kid is the bait he uses to pull her back into being abused. And the episode is released on the day that the US elects a president who almost certainly is going to ban abortion access. how are you guys doing???

I’ve been thinking about Trudy Trout a lot recently (which as a Trudy cosplayer, isn’t new but- recently it’s a lot more). So I put together a playlist of music that makes me think of her, and made it public for others if they wanna brainrot about Trudy with me as well.

Also! I’m open to song recommendations to add to this playlist if you’ve got em! And this playlist is ongoing, I’ll update it as I find more stuff, and may even drop songs that cannon may eventually prove unfitting.
