final fantasy x-2 is a stupid game where you have to press buttons unprompted at precise moments during emotional cutscenes in order to get story completion points and it's a silly game where you are in your most powerful form when dressed in a ridiculous mascot outfit and it's a brilliant game where turn-based and real-time combat intersect in interesting exciting ways and it's a shitty game where jumping off a platform takes thirty tries and it's a depressing game about how anyone could possibly overcome pain and loss and failure without being plagued by regret and longing and it's a hopeful game about a world learning to find life again after a young girl saves it and it's about three cringey teenage magical girl best friends flying around the world doing literally whatever the hell they want on an insanely garish mountain-sized flying motorcycle thing and it's about collecting friends and family and building a home there. all this to say: it's a game about love. you get it

I can finally share the beautiful cover of my debut dark fantasy novel, HOUSE OF THE BEAST!

Illustrated by Eileen Kwan, who also designed the sprayed edges!

The full package includes illustrated endpapers, a fully designed book case, and a printed interior for the dust jacket. Not to mention the novel itself will feature black and white illustrations by yours truly! I’m super blessed to have such a beautiful package to present to you all, and so excited to share more of the artwork in coming weeks. 

HOUSE OF THE BEAST is about a young woman seeking revenge on her aristocratic family with the help of an elder god taking the form of a beautiful imaginary prince. It will be published in August 2025.

Miles: -completely unnecessary. Doing a Steel Samurai reboot so soon after the series ended is a foolish decision, everyone will be directly comparing the two from the moment the first episode drops. I don't believe they even have a fresh direction for the show, the only difference will be the cgi. God forbid we rock the boat and follow a new character! It's abundantly clear to me that the studio executives are cowards.

Maya: Oh my gosh, and did you see the new outfits? Maya includes a sobbing emoji
