TSHD: about the couple's future

I've seen many theories, from those who read the manga, that Yoshiki's and especially Hikaru's ending won't be happy

I mean, it makes sense right? Most LGBT stories for young audiences end in disaster. Either one of them dies, usually the happiest one... or they separate.

But i have a feeling that MAYBE tshd is inverting this trope. Death begins this story, and through it a being who is not afraid to feel is born

And it makes sense that he's a monster, doesn't it? Because that's how all people who are freely themselves are seen... and the more time Yoshiki spends with him, the more he turns into a "monster" too

So i would love to see the author take this concept further, two impure beings (in the eyes of most people) living happily in this world

But i won't be shocked if the ending is completely the opposite haha but i think there's already too many stories of gays suffering, we've seen it a thousand times!

Rewatched this and now I’m convinced Hikaru’s death is a commentary on heteronormativity. So many queer people repress their feelings and “fall” for people of the opposite sex only to realize it at the end of their lives. His last thoughts are of Yoshiki..

What do you think about the fact that Sasuke actually loved Sakura but because he was blinded by hatred he couldn't show it? (I'm a SS hater but I'm curious what you think about i)

Okay I rlly like this question actually and if I were to think from the perspective of this then I think it would make sense.

I made a post about this some time before here, where I talked about Sasuke and Sakuras relationship, and why I think SS makes sense, but I wouldn't say his hatred quite blinded him.

He was very aware of the remaining feelings that he had for Sakura and Naruto, who are shown to be the only people he cared about enough to be unable to completely sever his ties from.

His hate reflected these feelings, and he tried to kill Sakura because of it (which directly translates into the fact that he cared for her on a deeper level). Obviously, he didn't show these feelings and tried to remove them by killing, but they were definitely there.

Now, for me, I'm not an SS shipper and also not a hater, I'm pretty neutral about the ship and I genuinely think they're one of the best canon couples because they make the most sense together (behind shikaten♥️ I love shikaten).

Seperately I think it's a good argument and there is definitely some canon truth behind it, my only issue with it would be that if you put Naruto in the equation then everything blows up because SasuSaku pales next to NaruSasu.

All of the reasons as to why it makes sense, that I stated earlier, can also be applied to Naruto, which I think weakens the overall argument for SS. Besides that, it's clearly visible in the anime that while Sakura definitely means something to Sasuke, Naruto means more to him. Whether people interpret that as them being soulmates or whatever else, idc, but it is canon.

So I think that when people claim that Sasuke and Sakura are in love, then that's fine, but Narusasu outweighs them, so technically, claiming Sasuke loves Sakura but not Naruto doesn't make a lot of sense, at least not to me..

I've been so invested in trying to analyze the importance of yoshikis bangs. There must be a symbolic reason why everyone in town tells him to cut them and why we get shots of his POV behind the bangs. Is it a narrowed worldview? Or his way to cut himself off others? Or his safe space? Maybe he started growing them out only after hikaru died and he noticed that its not really hikaru, maybe it's supposed to symbolize the way he stopped caring? Or its deliberate commentary to show how he stands out negatively by not being tidy about his looks??? To highlight the way he's not the same as the rest, maybe even to foreshadow further isolation from the villages society?

The summer hikaru died is probably gonna be my newest obsession bcs oh my god the romantic tension? The not wanting to let go of hikaru even though he knows he should? The sheer fact that they're gay and they can't express it but it's there?? I've been waiting for this. I am the last person to watch any kind of horror but I will just for those two
