Friends, a LOT has changed since we were open last week! We are first and foremost trying to keep our cafe space free of any germs, so PLEASE do not come through our doors if you have a fever, a cough, runny nose, etc. Secondly, we are happy to still serve you any beverages that you want for take-out, but WE will be serving every drink to you. No more self-serve coffee, and we won't be filling any reusable mugs or growlers. Cold brew can be purchased by the cup or in a brand new growler, and all hot beverages will be in disposable cups. Right now our plans are to be open our normal hours each day for the convenience of buying bagged coffee and drinks. However, lockdowns are happening in cities nationwide, so we strongly suggest buying enough bagged coffee to get you through 4 weeks of isolation and doing that soon. If you're in Wolfeboro, you can order online and use promo code "wolfeborodelivery" and we will deliver to your doorstep for $5. If you live within a 45 mile radius and want to order coffee online and pick it up without shipping fees, you can do that and choose "Local Pickup" during checkout. All other online orders will be shipped for $9 flat rate as soon as we can process them. Please order at lucasroasting.com sooner than later, though, because we're already seeing shipping companies pause services, and we don't know how long the USPS will be making deliveries. Above all else, STAY SAFE!!! Exposure and spread of #COVID19 is happening in shared spaces, so limit your time in any shared space. This includes our cafe, as well, and we invite you to sit outside at our picnic table while your order is processed if you are more comfortable with that. Lastly, we do offer gift cards online and in-store. They can be purchased and used at each store. Online e-gift certificates are only good online, and in-store gift cards are only usable in-store. No sooner than Gina's Cucina arrived this morning with this incredible Apple Cake, not 1 but 3 pieces went straight out the door. @redwingroots fans, we just want you to know that we sold A TON of @thesteelwheels Halfway to Heaven coffee over the festival weekend, and we think it's time you get a little back story on the creation of it. Back before Red Wing had even happened, we worked with the fellas to design this dark roast coffee you love so much, but it's creation took numerous rounds because this guy, @jaylappdance kept telling us to go "darker...make it stronger!" So, we kept going back to the drawing board until it grabbed Jay in the back of the throat and he was content with it. You drank that in our Nitro Cold Brew and as hot coffee all weekend long by the thousands of cups, so we know that it's not only Jay who loves it. Besides, it had to be dark enough to fuel him HARD to keep ripping on the mandolin and guitar on stage just like you see here. So far at @redwingroots VII the only set we've been able to catch in full has been @thesteelwheels, and last night was INCREDIBLE!!! We are so grateful for the music that flows from these men into our world, and we're so grateful that they asked us to be a part of this festival way back in the early planning stages of it over 7 years ago. What has been created here is unlike any other large music festival we've ever been to, and we hope for all of you here it's been a wonderful experience for each you. Starting off our morning with one of our favorites at the roastery. For those of you who walk in and ask us for the "strong" coffee on our shelves, we point everyone to this one that we've custom roasted per specifications of @thesteelwheels, or maybe more precisely the request of @jaylappdance. When asked to create the Halfway to Heaven coffee prior to the first @redwingroots we kept getting close to what the band wanted, but Jay kept tasting each revision and saying "darker...stronger" And, legitimately, have you seen the energy that man gives the mandolin on stage?!?
