meanwhile, kuroo is stressing out. he just got stood up, which usually sucks, but he doesn’t actually care about his date. he cares about the fact that his mother is visiting him, and she’s been on his back about focusing less on work and more on finding a nice person to settle down with. kuroo just needs someone as a temporary placeholder to keep his mother’s nagging at bay, and so he takes your ex-boyfriend’s seat and does what he does best: pitching ideas.
