I miss my social life
I was finishing up doing some housework and decided to sit down with some tea and I’m starting to become wistful and think back on the weekends of the fall semester before it got too cold to go out without a jacket. I would hang out with my friends after class, maybe go to TJMaxx. Then I’d come home, shower, make myself some pumpkin spice tea, do my skincare routine and start getting ready to hit the bars.
I miss waking up hungover the next day and going to this little family owned diner with my house mate so I could get some breakfast potatoes. I’d spend the rest of my day relaxing. Maybe taking a nap, maybe driving to the nearest mall to kill some time. Get ready and go out again. Then Sunday I would wake up late in the day, make myself some breakfast, do face masks and self care while also doing my homework.
I don’t drink enough on the weekends to be hungover now since I’m here alone and find that to be a little excessive, but now I just binge watch anime and have a few drinks to get buzzed. And as much as I don’t want my house mate’s boyfriend here, I would take it if it meant my house mate and I could at least do what we did over the summer when nobody was in town. Get bored, do our makeup as if we were going out, and then play some drinking games while watching movies.
Even when I started here in 2018 I didn’t have much of a social life. I was quiet, and anxious. I hated talking to people and doing new things. It took breaking up with my ex for me to come out of my shell because I suddenly had almost nobody. I had my best friend to text but she was back home and busy with school and work. I had my two other friends but one of them ended up stabbing me in the back and the other one ghosted me. Now I’m more outgoing and I like going out where its crowded, I like wearing attention grabbing outfits and doing over the top makeup. I no longer felt uncomfortable when all eyes were on me, I felt powerful. I used to not mind doing anything on the weekends, now i’m literally DYING to go out.

So I have a question for my ladies out there. Is it just me or while on your period, or even a few days before it start, are you ravenously hungry. Like I feel like I could eat a horse. I’m trying to eat dense and filling foods and I’m still hungry. Yesterday I tried small snacks throughout the day and yet still felt as if I could inhale like 3 of the dinners I have prepped.
While I don’t want to overeat, I feel like I should bump my calorie allowance up to maintenance calories until my period is over
