"Wild Hearts" - Continuing to think in linocut terms and imagining if I had access to silver and gold inks as well. Things like this would have to be REAL big. I find carving relaxing when all the artistic decisions are already made. I wonder if the local arts place would ever have a printmaking class that could walk me through their presses or printing technique...I can carve the blocks themselves just fine.

I made this out of the rage I felt from seeing transphobic, butchphobic and enbyphobic comments in my tl.

Being a lesbian is part of my identity too and I refuse to let other people tell me I am not a lesbian just because I don't fit their binary perception of things. It's so sad to see other lesbians shitting on butches and gender non-conforming or non-binary lesbians.

But hey, we are here and we're not going anywhere, I am not going anywhere. I've always been a loud lesbian and I'll always be.

Keep being loud, proud and gentle with other lesbians and be fierce with the ones who try to erase us.

One of those tropes that never fail to be funny: when the protagonist is literally telling the truth, and nobody believes them, but everyone is perfectly chill with what they assume was what actually happened, so the protagonist is trying to defend themselves for no reason.

Imagine being like "no but for real, I didn't push him. He literally just slipped and fell on his own", and everyone who hated that guy is like "oh yes, of course darling, of course nobody here would accuse you of having done the unthinkable. We all know that with the way that he was, it was only a matter of time until he would someday just slip on his own, with only one person there to witness the accident. Nothing reassures me that my boyfriend loves me more than when he wants me there while he's in full Lizard Mode - sleepy, already asleep, headache, sick, anything that's got your brain running on skeleton crew, wholly focused on survival and comfort. Nothing matters except being in a dark, quiet place, horizontal, and comfy. Communicating in eepy grumbles. Expressing distaste that I am not cuddled up to him. Letting me know when he wants to be the little spoon. He doesn't have the processing power for contemplating people pleasing, he just wants me there because having me there is genuinely preferable to not having me there.
