Kallura Month Day 8: Fairy AU

There was a manga I read a long while back called Sugar Apple Fairytale about a human girl and her warrior fairy companion. Whenever anyone mentions fairies that story is all I can think of, so here’s yet another crossover piece!

(I actually reread the manga for reference last week and discovered it’s also a 17 volume light novel series!! Sadly the manga only covered the first LN volume. It’s a lovely little series nonetheless ^^)

All this talk has got me thinking about the times I’ve loved non-canon pairings, and for the most part, I’ve never been a “X should of been canon!!” kinda gal. Do I think the story would have been far more interesting for me personally if it followed the route of my ship? Absolutely!! But ultimately that’s not the story the author/s wanted to tell, the canon ship is still beloved by many despite my feelings, and I respect that.

Except

in the case of

Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Kallura should have been canon (+ Plance) and I will fight you in a parking lot over it.

No respect given, the choices made were objectively terrible.

Kallura Week 2022 has ended and I'll like to give my thanks to everybody who participated by making works, either fics or art, voting on prompts, spreading the word, or just leaving a heart or a comment on somebody's work. It always make me smile when I see other Kallura lovers out there get some love for their works.
