Happy 2018 everyone! Here’s are candles that I’ve picked up the past couple of days during the SAS sale. These were the sweetshoppe candles I was interested in and I already got pink bubblegum during the candle day sale as girl gang. Cypress and fresh balsam were 75% off. Today's combo is my last cube of merry cherry and my first cube of wild berry cheesecake. Went to the #chatuchakmarket yesterday and saw soo many lovely booths that could only be described as a diffuser's paradise. If you ever are in Thailand, definitely stop by. I'm packing light (no checked baggage and has to be under 17lbs for personal bags) so I didn't indulge 😭, 60THB is less than $2USD.

I'm so thrilled to have won a fragrance giveaway to celebrate @southrencomfort1 reaching 1000 subscribers on YouTube. I love her channel and her reviews and hauls and this package features some of her favorites. The package arrived in great shape (thanks for being nice USPS!) and I am taking notes on how @southrencomfort1 packs her boxes because this was very very well done. I haven't tried any of these scents and several of these brands before! I am also a huge fan of flowers, so think the wallflower is gorgeous. The Home Traditions candles arrived today to the Amazon locker. Packaging was ok - they had one layer of bubble wrap around them and then some more packing plastic so the box was packed tight but if you have a speedy delivery person I could see how these could arrive damaged. That's when Amazon customer service is best (package replaced no questions asked). Anyways from the photos you can see that these candles are almost exactly like the Sonoma candles (I have key lime pie on the far left) except for the top being slightly worse quality (not as tight of a seal as Sonoma) and thinner wicks. Ive just lit up bubbly champagne and it looks like it will pool out just fine with great flames but the throw is not great at the moment, maybe a 1 and it smells kind of like bubblegum. And the random empties: *coconut lime verbena by BBW: wow this lotion is old. I didnt use it anywhere sensitive but it brought me back quite a bit. I think I got this from a hotel and if I see this scent again I will repurchase as it brings me back to my early BBW addiction days. I have the 😐 face on to judge myself for not using up these older products, I try to find these and use them first in my stash * pure by eco.fresh: another lotion from a hotel. Smells like cheap soap. Meh, it did the job keeping the elbows from being ashy. * jasmine vanilla sugar scrub by BBW: really enjoyed this one. BBW’s sugar scrubs are REALLY coarse sugar so if you need a deep scrub these are great. They are NOT foaming so if you are looking for a foaming scrub this is not what you want, in fact they are almost the opposite. The sugar is seeped in scented oil and you do get a small oil film-like layer on you which I LOVE because the scent lasts so long on the body. If you want less film, you can wash off the oil with hot water. I have many other scents of these that you will see in the future. I generally stock up during SAS or aromatherapy sales. *crest prohealth mouthwash: gotta keep the teeth nice 😬 this is just to remind me that they matter so ill keep putting these types of things in the random empties lol *yves rocher serum vegetal wrinkles & radiance face cream: Yves is my go to for facial creams. Not sure if they ever give amazing results but I never breakout and I seem to still get carded at every bar I go to so I’ll take that as a plus *lemon zest wallflower from BBW: LOVED this scent in the bathroom. Gave off the type of clean scent that I love. Per usual this only lasted for about a week as a wallflower but as you can tell from my previous posts, I have been using this in the diffuser and I LOVE the idea of using up the rest of my wallflowers like that and will continue to do so ------- #julyempties #fflowers33review

Next up yankee tart empties: *turquoise sky: my favorite scent of the month. Definitely a clean, watery scent, more on the clean. Throw was great (7/10) and I will be repurchasing this for sure *passionfruit martini: throw was crazy (9/10) but SO SWEET it was nauseating. Even smelling the wrap now makes me 🤢 so I wont be repurchasing. *bakery air: a fan favorite but I didnt get great throw with this one (at most 4/10) but I will consider burning it as a candle if that does better. Very nice bakery note *red raspberry: another great thrower (7/10) but also too sweet, almost like cough syrup to me, I wont repurchase. *pineapple cilantro: tried this one again but like last month, no throw (1/10). I thought originally it was because the tart was older last month (I got it at bed bath and beyond on clearance) but this one was straight from yankee for SAS so it probably is just a dud * summer storm: WHOA nelly, this is a thrower (10/10). This blew me away and I only needed to melt it for just a little bit to completely fill my room and hallway so this one lasted quite some time. Here are my candle and first set of wax empties for July and here are my reviews: * grapefruit & citron by pecksniff’s: on cold, the grapefruit note is pretty strong on cold but I didn't get a great throw while burning in my bedroom (3/10) but it did much better melting (5/10). The burn was flawles with very little to no residue on the sides and pooled well. For $2 on Marshall’s clearance I was happy to try and I will consider repurchase if it comes with more wicks because the scent was nice. *Island retreat by scentsational: AMAZING citrus peel type scent on cold & if this comes in a larger format, I’ll be picking it up for sure. I did have to foil it while burning so I could get a full pool but for a small candle, it did a pretty decent job of throwing in my living room (4/10) For $3 at Marshalls, I was glad to pick this one up to try. *banana smoothie by dwhome: I had really high hopes for this one but it just didn't throw enough (1/10 in my room) and it only did slightly better when melted (2/10) which is a bummer because it was strong on cold. This scent to me is very much like like the candy banana heads. I was happy to try this one out but the ones with more wicks dont seem to get the best reviews so not sure if I’ll pick up another one. *limoncello poptail by BBW: so this candle wins out the month and not necessarily for the scent (which I don't find that complex, its lemon and maybe a little sugar but I can totally see why some people think this smells like pinesol) but really just for performance because for a little candle this one threw (7/10 in my bedroom, 5-6/10 in my living room) *orange vanilla by Hudson: NOT orange and vaniila, more like orange and some spice & melted with some really weird burnt note. Throw was about a 5/10 in the bedroom, I was not a fan of this and happy to be done with it. *sweet sangria by mainstays: too sweet for me so I wont be repurchasing. throw was great in the bedroom (7/10) so it got rid of any weird smells REALLY fast.
