It is the 1st of August 2021 today and it is the first page of my journal.

Many have encouraged me to write a journal over the years but somehow it has not happened. Why? Well maybe it was waiting for an appointed time!

01 August is also my former husbands birthday. Both of us products of trauma filled childhoods. And this made for a turbulent marriage. We both really wanted life to work but the unhealed trauma played havoc in our relationship.

It is 20 years since our parting of ways and it has been acrimonious relationship.

If I could change one thing it would be the words I spoke to him and over him. If only I had had the courage and confidence to listen to that still quiet wise voice within me to speak life giving words no matter what was happening in my outside situation.

Words are one of the most powerful gifts us humans have been given. They have creative power and once released and spoken await for us for an appointed hour.

May the new song of life giving words - a song filled with love and kindness - wait for the appointed to bring a new song to our relationship.
