I spent some time this morning generating illustrations with ChatGPT and Dall-e.

They were asked to create a cartoon of a cat lying in a deceptively defensive posture on its back with a clueless hand reaching out to pet it. The cat represents the allure and danger of AI.

The prompt was modified in different ways to ensure that the AI legend next to the cat was simply a label and not a thought bubble. It's notoriously hard to control text in images.

Normally, I iterate in a conversation until I get a result I like, but in this case I modified the prompt or repeated the same prompt in a new conversation each time.

The result is non-deterministic. Repeating the same prompt yields different results.
