Galadriel looked at Ereinion grief-stricken, all at once seeing in him a resemblance to her cousin Fingon, to her uncle Fingolfin, and her grandfather Finwë. The last high king of the Noldor in Middle Earth even towered over everyone else in that way only her cousin Aredhel had once in the distant past. And, above all else, Ereinion carried his stubbornness and pride with him like any Noldor would. As if they were the only things he could trust.

"The Men of that house were dark or brown of hair, with grey eyes; and of all Men they were most like to the Noldor and most loved by them; for they were eager of mind, cunning-handed, swift in understanding, long in memory, and they were moved sooner to pity than to laughter." - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion, "Of the Coming of Men Into the West"
[ID: an edit comprised of four posters in shades of green and brown.
1: Maricela Gualinga, a sarayuku kichwa (indigenous ecuadorian) woman. She has brown skin and dark, straight hair pulled back behind her, and is painting detailed designs on her face with a focused expression. In the upper left corner of the image, off-white and brown gothic-style text reads "Hirwen," with a white line extending down the left side of the poster. Off-white serif text in the bottom right corner reads "Hirwen was a woman of the House of Bëor. Niece to Andreth Saelind, she learned much from her of the lore and traditions of their people. She was quick to laugh and kind, and her family, especially her youngest brother Barahir, valued her wisdom and measured counsel." / 2: Bars of sunlight shining on a mossy clearing in the forest. The same gothic text as before in the bottom left corner reads "Greatness," with a line extending horizontally to the opposite corner. Serif text in the top left corner reads "descendants of Bëor & Andreth" and below it "foremothers of Beren & all his line" / 3: A tree with many attached trunks. Same format as Image 2, but the gothic text is in the top right corner and reads "Tradition," while the small text is at the bottom left and reads "wise women of the House" and "keepers of lore & knowledge" / 4: Nina Gualinga, a sarayuku kichwa woman with brown skin and dark, straight hair pulled back behind her and bangs falling over her forehead. She is bending down with a serious expression to place dots of paint onto her arm and has already drawn patterns across her face. She is wearing a green short-sleeved shirt. Same format as Image 1, but the orientation is reversed. The larger text reads "Beldis," and the small text reads "The second child of Hirwen’s elder sister Bregil, Beldis was born to great rejoicing amongst her people. Though retiring towards all but those closest to her, she was possessed of great affection for her aunt Hirwen, who loved and understood her niece without the need for speech." //End ID]

“Now Fëanor's heart was still bitter at his humiliation before Mandos, and he looked at Melkor in silence, pondering if indeed he might yet trust him so far as to aid him in his flight.
And Melkor, seeing that Fëanor wavered, and knowing the the Silmarils held his heart in thrall, said at last: 'Here is a strong place, and well guarded; but think not that the Silmarils will lie safe in any treasury within the realm of the Valar!'
But his cunning overreached his aim; his words touched too deep, and awoke a fire more fierce than he designed; and Fëanor looked upon Melkor with eyes that burned through his fair semblance and pierced the cloaks of his mind, perceiving his fierce lust for the Silmarils.
Then hate overcome Fëanor's fear, and he cursed Melkor and bade him be gone, saying: 'Get thee gone from my gate, thou jail-crow of Mandos!' And he shut the doors of his house in the face of the mightiest of the dwellers of Eä.”
