Instead Hedwig burst out of his wand. Hagrid tearfully explained to Harry, "I'm the one that bought 'er for you, and sometimes I feel like it's me fault she's not around anymore. I know how much you loved her." Harry smiled and hugged Hagrid, and then thanked him for letting him see his owl again.
