I have a theory. It's a stretch tho.

So in the movie (spoiler alert)

Vannessa is Williams' daughter, and steve/William says Micheals' last name, Schmidt, but he stops at sch, so my theory is William afton in the movie, who was in a relationship with mikes mom. And they had vannessa. But she left William after he opened the restaurant, he then went on a killing spee and found out bout garret, abby and Mike, so he was jealous. And killed garret. Cool theory.
