Welcome to my AU where Bill won! Bill didn't come out unscathed from the destruction of his own dimension. Now he seeks absolute control over all worlds. Control calms him, but it never truly satisfies him.

The story takes place during Ford's youth, when Bill manipulated him into continuing the portal project. However, even with his victory, Bill finds no peace in the end.

With all this multiverse thing, what would happen if some alternate version of either of them tried to replace their partner? Would they recognize them instantly, or would they have some kind of keyword or code for that? Something like with the Dipper and the shapeshifter.

Pines!Bill Always said they maybe look like the same person but they can be their own individual inside with different personalities, so yeah he can immediately regocnize which one is his husband. While Ford will taking time cuz bills are so good at manipulation and pretending. He will notice the differences inventually

Like how they communicate to each other, their habit when one of them around, their personality , appearance differences , knowledge wise . So yeah they can't easily fool
