I simply can't afford to quit on the idea that human life can change for the better.

Pictured: A night of tea, mango juice, the sound of crickets and frogs, a cool yet uninvasive breeze, plenty of gazing trees, The Anthropocene Reviewed, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, an 8 ounce ribeye steak, and the conscious decision to replace Loneliness with Solitude.

The American Queen sailing past Fort Madison, Iowa. She's a true steamboat, propelled by her steam-powered rear paddle, although she also sports back up diesel propellers for tight navigation and emergencies.
The American Queen was built in 1995 and is the largest river steam boat ever built.
