Scarlet Hollow Art Stream Notes from December 21st, 2024

These are just some notes I took on comments the devs made during the stream, focused on anything pertaining to future SH content. So, potential spoiler warning if you prefer to go into new stuff entirely blind.

On the Ep. 1-4 update: -The first two episodes will be the "main fixation" -The Stella skip branch will have multiple merges in multiple locations in the first two episodes and will be fully merged in Ep. 3 -Probably no new music -A new background and sprite of Duke sitting on a fallen tree in the woods

On Ep. 5 specifically: -A little under twice the word count of Ep. 4, largely going towards branching -No idea about how long an average playthrough will take, but probably longer than Ep. 4 -Oscar has some "fun stuff" coming -Dustin fans will be happy. Abby said they will be "in for it", but later clarified that to be in a positive sense

On future SH stuff generally: -At completion, it will have about 6x the word count of The Pristine Cut -People think the Ep. 2 dilemma is so uneven because they haven't seen all the consequences yet -Described the Oscar romance as "we don't know each other, but you keep changing my life" which is thematically relevant -Kaneeka needs to like magical girls, and Miles needs to like Dragonball (stuff like that for other characters can be made up on the spot) -MC's dad won't be relevant -Done with additions to the cast -When asked about the possibility of rain/other weather, responded with "wouldn't you like to know"/"wouldn't that be fun" -There is an intended angle with Reese that Abby hasn't seen anyone discuss -Can't wait to see who will be hated the most by the end, but Abby has some idea of who it will be

Learning to use markers by borrowing a friend's. Those cool expensive ones you're too afraid to use bc you don't feel like your skill matches up to their worth.
