thinking a lot about c!quackity and c!slime again [finale spoilers]

big fan of the fact that i always come back to tumblr whenever i need to post some kind of rant about characters i enjoy lmao

anyways ummmm yeah !!! the dsmp/qsmp/karmaland finale right guys!!

i keep seeing people on twitter talking about how c!slime would have absolutely seen/heard the explosion after his conversation with q and i genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. like just fucking imagine

slime has finally built up the courage to say goodbye to quackity, to finally explore the world on his own thinking his friend has learned the consequences of his actions and he'll be able to learn and grow from it.

he turns on his heel, feeling relief and a new sense of freedom.

and as he gets to the end of the road he hears an explosion. an explosion from the direction of the casino.

he turns around and sees nothing but the tattered, broken remains of the building that was once his home - where quackity had just returned to minutes prior.

it's gone.

quackity is gone.

he knows that was quackity's last life, and there's nothing that can be done to bring him back now that the revive book is long gone.

he got to say goodbye but he didn't know it would be at the cost of his friend's life. he can't do anything but continue on his journey away from the smp.

the chapter has officially come to a close.

he doesn't know where the next one will take him.

also going based on my own headcanons it would also mean that slime, when he finally arrives on the qsmp and he comes face to face with quackity, would be face to face with the friend he thought was DEAD for who knows how long.

his friend IS dead.

this isn't the quackity that taught him everything he knows about being human.

but he just has to pretend !!! he doesn't know this guy at all !!

but he's constantly living with the reminder in the back of his mind that he could have prevented quackity's original death if he had just stayed.
