A Really Fucking Vulgar Guide to Not Losing Your Shit in College (Condensed Version)
Bitches love to put things into lists. Moreover, bitches love numbered shit. Hereās some numbered shit in list format to help you not suck in higher education. Youāre welcome.
1. Go to class. Like 210% serious. I donāt give a shit if youāre a get by on nothing, A+ slacker. Youāre fucking paying for this crap so you might as well get the services owed to you. Take your ass to class even if you zone out 99% of the time. You know 1% more than you did when you walked up in there. Congrats, asshole.
2. All that free time you have during your first week of classes? Make it your bitch. Donāt just print the goddamn syllabus and be like all done. No motherfucker. Take a good fucking look at that assignment list. Whatās due next week? Yeah, do that shit now bc I know you donāt have anything else to do. Then when youāre coughing up a lung six weeks into the semester and donāt feel like getting your ass up to do that calculus homework, youāll remember this week. Youāll remember that youāve been a week ahead this whole damn semester. Pat yourself on the back, ass wipe.
3. Prepare yo self. No seriously. You got notes to print for class? Sure you could be like all those other bitches and just shove them into your backpack, or you could actually /prepare/ for class. Iām talking looking that shit over, identifying key concepts, getting a decent grasp of the material before your ass is even in class. You a STEM major? Yeah, make this kinda shit your life because now class is like one bomb ass group review session. Again, youāre welcome.
4. Snack like a motherfucker, but save that junk food shit for the weekends. From now on, you are a fucking health guru during the week or if youāre a slacker like me, at least on the days you have class. Fruits? Hell yeah. Pack some of those. Mind wandering in class? Snack on some apple slices. Canāt stay awake? Keep eating some almonds or some shit, but donāt be that bitch with the potato chips. Just donāt.
5. Read. Yeah, you heard me. Read and Iām not just talking assigned reading. I bet my left butt cheek that your campus library has /something/ of interest to you. Commuting and donāt want to drive out there? Library databases bro. Weāre in the digital age, motherfucker. Iād bet my other butt cheek that the shit you want is in a nice little PDF somewhere. But na man, you thinking maybe you want to go into computer science? Check out computer science books and eat them up bro. You donāt like reading them? Probably not the field for you. You a biology major in your second year? Yeah dumbass. Time to break out the bio books and not the ones your professor is shoving in your face. Amaze your friends and teachers with your out of class knowledge. Be a fucking star.

I start my Prozac once I get back from Florida. Turns out clinical depression is actually really hard to manage, especially in nursing school. I want to be happy and I want to succeed. Iāve just gotten to a point in my mental health where I need a tool to help me get through life, Iām learning that thatās okay.

Little things that improved my life ššĖā
Accepting my sleep schedule.Ā I'm a night owl; I focus at night, I'm calm at night, I'm motivated at night. For a long time, I tried to fight this since everyone always preaches getting up early, but since I started accepting my natural sleep schedule, I've been feeling a lot better and have become way more productive.
"drink more water". TEA.Ā Tea is the secret here. I will be honest, I hate drinking water; it doesn't matter if I have a cute water bottle or a cute glass, I still hate it. TEA.
Replying quickly.Ā I used to be one of those people who get a text message and think, "Oh, I'll reply to that later", and then just forget about it entirely. Now, I text back as soon as I see the message. This has not only improved my texting anxiety (which I cause on my own by now replying and then feeling bad) but also deepened my connection to my friends. <3
Keeping my circle small and being okay with that.Ā Over the past months, I've had this sudden urge to expand my social circle and get to know more and more people, especially after I moved in August. However, this quickly ended in what I like to call my "social burnout". I was tired, annoyed, and overwhelmed. It took a few weeks for it to settle, but I've come to the conclusion that I would much rather have a smaller circle of people who I trust and love deeply than aĀ hugeĀ group of friends, and that's totally okay.
Wearing what I like.Ā Even though I live in a big city, I'd still say that my style can sometimes be a bit more extravagant than what most people wear, another point is that I'm very uncomfortable with pants so I only wear skirts, which is also considered a bit odd where I live. But over the past years, I've come to accept that and have become so sure of myself and found such comfort in my style that I now just wear whatever I like, and it makes every day a little bit nicer.
Reading and writing for pleasure.Ā Reading books outside of my studies andĀ spending time researching topics that simply interest me is suchĀ a great way to calm your mind.Ā Same for writing, I always like to say thatĀ to writeĀ is to think; putting your thoughts on paper in cohesive and well-crafted sentences that you can then reread and think over again is such a liberating thingĀ to do.
Reaching out more.Ā fuck the whole "double texting" and "no contact" thing. If you want to speak to someone becauseĀ theyĀ mean something to you,Ā thenĀ just do it. Unless they specifically asked for space, you shouldn't feel bad about wanting to be in touch with them. Many even really appreciate it when you show that you truly care. Let's stop the nonchalant act, and instead, let's face deep emotions and true vulnerability. <3

Itās been so long since Iāve been on tumblr. My current class required us to go on tumblr to read love letters and figure out if the genre fits whatās was written. My sister just had a massive brain surgery. Sheās my person I feel closest with talking to but even she doesnāt get it. But now during this really hard and lost time in my life, I canāt talk to her about it. Life is hard and scary.

How to be the āit girlā in school āØšāāļø
Academic validation >> external validation (boys, girls, etc.) : academic validation should always come first if youāre in school. ALWAYS. Your grades and your knowledge will take you far in life, not the approval of some random kids who you probably wont ever even see again. You need to know your priorities.
Romanticise it!: make school fun! Romanticise it. Act like the main character because you ARE the main character and donāt let anyone tell you otherwise!
Study for tests: part of being an āit girlā is actually getting good grades. And how do we get good grades? By studying!! Romanticise studying if you want. But just study. Study study study until you canāt get it wrong. Also- stop working just on motivation. Create a routine or schedule where you get in studying everyday and STICK TO IT.
Confidence: walk, talk and act with confidence and confidence only. walk as if you OWN the room. Know that you are worth a million dollars, OWN THAT. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Remember: āyou canāt fit in if you were born to stand out!ā
Stop caring about what others think of you. people will hate on you and THATS OKAY. Some people will literally hate on like everything. I heard once (from thewizardliz) that there will be a video of cats playing on the internet and there will be a person that figures out how to hate on it. There will be people who just have nothing to do in their lives except try to bring you down so you need to just ignore it. Be protective of your energy.
Style: itās okay to hop onto different trends, but try to find your own style. Itās okay if your school has a uniform, you can add a āsignatureā piece of jewellery to your outfit to make you feel a bit better about yourself. Also use a certain scent/ perfume on yourself that just makes you feel a bit more.. āØyou.āØ (also remember itās perfectly alright to change your style if you get bored once in a while!)
Good hygiene: brush your teeth. Comb your hair. Shower. Make sure your lips arenāt crusty musty dusty. Iron your clothes. Make sure you feel fresh and clean everyday.
Be kind: dont be mean if you have no reason to. If someone comes up to you politely asking a question or talking to you about something, dont give them a side eye, dont look at them as if theyāre a clown, be polite and respectful. No one, and i mean NO ONE likes someone whoās rude. You may think itās cool, but rly.. it isnāt. Itās just icky. Give genuine compliments, smile, treat others to make them feel special. Although do remember that THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING kind AND BEING A people pleaser!! Have boundaries and prioritise YOURSELF FIRST.

Had my weekend of work and relax (even though I didnāt deserve the relaxation) time to jam out this week and be a weapon.
I have been up since 4- so for the last hour and I havenāt managed to do anything besides cuddle my cat, scroll on my phone, and do a little research on my chapter to go over in class at 8.
I know I have my cat laying on me which makes it hard to get up, but I have genuine struggles getting up everyday. Advice?
