You know who did the teen hero thing right? Kim Possible, thatâs who. She never messed around with that secret identity thing or with not letting her parents or friends know what she was doing so she never had to deal with, âOh, Iâm gonna miss this important family event to save the worldâ  or, âWhatâll happen in my friends find out my secret identity?â bullcrap. It was like, âMom, Dad. I gotta go deal with this Drakken sitch,â and theyâd just be like, âHave fun. Tell Ron we said hi.â She had that hero/personal life balance thing on lock. I aspire to have my life as in balance as Kim Possible.
In the church I grew up in the worship team isn't allowed to sing the first verse of "Our God is Greater" because my grandmother got upset that they sang about wine in church.
*evangelical voice* haha we wonât be needing the wine menu :)
We will never be the same again. But hereâs a little secret for youâno one is ever the same thing again after anything. You are never the same twice, and much of your unhappiness comes from trying to pretend that you are. Accept that you are different each day, and do so joyfully, recognizing it for the gift it is. Work within the desires and goals of the person you are currently, until you arenât that person anymore, and everything changes once again.
(Cecil, Welcome to Night Vale, Episode 75) That is legitimately some of the most helpful advice Iâve ever heard.
