September 24th, 2020:  Louis has always been incredible with children charities especially the ones working on childhood cancer. In 2017 his autographed guitar decorated by an artist was auctioned off for childhood cancer. The project was called GuitarTown Kids and was promoted by The T.J. Martell Foundation (article).

September 15th, 2020: It was kind of sad that today Harry announced that his 2020 tour dates are canceled due to covid, although we all understand it is for everyone’s safety.

We feel for the fans in South America, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. For this reason we want to remind everyone of all the love Harry has poured into these countries with his shows and his charitable work. In particular during his first solo tour, Harry made a donation to the Brisbane Children’s Hospital Foundation whose last initiative has been to establish a reserach center on brain cancer in children. 💛🎗

a long time ago i learned that a big part of your life needs to be undocumented and just simply enjoyed in the present. you don’t need to post a picture of the book your reading for it to be good. you don’t need to have a pic of you posing before the sea as proof that u had a good trip. there’s a very fine line between manufacturing moments for future nostalgia and honoring happy experiences by commemorating them into art. and it’s all about intention: do i want to take a picture because it would look good on ig or do i want to take a picture because i do not want to forget how insanely happy i am right now? or, preferably, do i even need to take a picture at all?

August 4th, 2020: Today Niall Horan replied to a fan on Twitter who was calling him a “weirdo” saying “that’s not very nice, is it?”. By doing so Niall brought to our attention the problem of cyberbullying which unfortunately affects both celebrities and average people, and that is rampant across all social media platforms.

So basically any individual on social media with an approved account and a large following, should censor themselves and not defend themselves when people talk shit about them? 

Those people are the people Niall was calling out, a people who treats people with abnormal jobs, and large online social followings differently.

This is why social media platforms are toxic fucking hell holes rife with cyberbullying. As it’s ok for users for small followings to say shit about people with bigger followings but not for those people to defend themselves? 

That’s hypocrisy at it’s finest and it’s fucking toxic that those who think t, judging people by their follower account and career path is actually fucking acceptable....

 Everyone from a person with 1 follower to Niall Horan with all his followers is allowed and perfectly justified to take a stand against bullying and the hate and abuse they receive on social media.

If you believe otherwise, go educate on Cyberbullying.

June 23, 2020: In one month it will be the 10 year anniversary of One Direction, which was formed on July 23rd, 2010. As you know, our account has been focusing on posting about thier charitable work as a band and as solo artists. Leading up to July 23rd, we are going to post key charitable work they did as One Direction.

Today we are talking about them taking part in the recording of BandAid30 charitable single to help prevent the spreading on Ebola in West Africa. The project was spireheaded by Sir Bob Geldof who also launched the original Band Aid in 1984. In the interview above, Louis, Harry, Liam, Zayn, and Niall talk about what it means for them to be part of this charitable project. This was November 2014. 🥰

the lea michele situation is actually a prime example of why we should be wary of performative activism right now. if you are supporting the cause by protesting, donating, posting your support, etc. that’s great! but this problem goes so much deeper than just police brutality.

every single non-black person who has posted #blacklivesmatter this week needs to take a step back and analyze whether or not their actions (not just their words) have shown that they truly believe that statement. it’s a clear and obvious choice to speak out against the brutal murder of an innocent man. however, if you are not making the obvious choice every day to speak up for us when your friends/relatives make racist jokes, if you are not listening to and respecting the black people you know in real life, if you have not sat down to analyze the ways you actively benefit from this system, if you have not worked to start unlearning the biases you were raised with, or if you thought “black lives matter” was a controversial statement until this week, do not pretend to care just because everyone is talking about it right now.

when these protests are over, there will still be many battles to fight. this is not a game, and this is not something you post about just for likes and clicks. if you are resting easy right now thinking that you’re “one of the good ones” for showing public outrage over a situation that should anger any reasonable person, you need to do more. racism is not something you can pick and choose when to be against. we don’t get to pick and choose when we experience racism. so if you’re going to get involved with this situation right here, right now, then you need to be ready to hold yourself and others accountable for anti-blackness in all other areas of your life.

BLACK LIVES MATTER - RAISE AWARENESS

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd was slowly and mercilessly killed by 4 Minneapolis police officers while being videotaped by concerned citizens begging them to stop. Floyd was surrounded and brutally dealt with by the police as Derek Chauvin’s knee pinned down his throat. Floyd kept screaming “I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!” but they didn’t listen. He then became unresponsive but was continually choked until his nose began to bleed, and his lifeless body was shoved into a stretcher and into the back of an ambulance.

The officers involved have been fired and the FBI has been called to investigate. But we must do our part to ensure that George Floyd receives the justice he deserves. Please sign these petitions addressed to the FBI, The President, The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, The Minneapolis Police Department, & DA Mike Freeman. An email on your behalf will be sent to all of the above. The lawyer representing Floyd’s family is civil rights attorney Ben Crump urges us to call DA Mike Freeman (612-348-5550) and tell him to arrest and charge these officers for the Murder of George Floyd, I encourage you to do so.
