Drabble - I will expose Hawkins Lab.
"I know this is where I should be. I am on the right path" Nancy said as she walked back and forth her heels clicking against the floor in her kitchen as she hair bounced with her every move. It wasn't until everything that happened when she decided she wanted to be an investigative journalist. She had so much to share and report and it was people like entitled pigs who didn't let a woman shine. "Nance, it's not going to be easy…ever…" Her mother replied as she tried to reason with her daughter. "I get that, but I know I am right and if they just had an open mind, they would a story that would break the news" She truly believed in that. Nancy had so much to spill and nowhere to spill it.
Nancy knew her mother had no idea what she even meant but it meant a lot to her that her mother was on her side regardless. She turned to face her mother "I appreciate you and all that you do to support me" She got an idea and thought who better to run it by "What do you think if I write up my own and released it? It wouldn't be officially printed from the press but it would open the eyes of some" She said and instantly knew she would be doing that.
When Nancy had a thought or an idea there was no changing her mind. She was a determined woman, and she would step on many and all toes to get her point across. She isn't innocent when it comes to this. Nancy was in training and truth be told she thought she was pretty damn good at doing what she had become so passionate about. She was ready to expose Hawkins Lab for the true monster they are not only what they create. She gave her mom a big hug and grabbed her purse instantly along with her car keys "I'll be at the library... I promise I will be home for dinner..." She reassured her mother as she left her home. She had some work to do.

1X1 with Hope Mikaelson.
It was a time unlike any other that was for sure. Nancy had no idea what to do next. She stood there with everyone as they just watched the ground open up. The sirens of various trucks and cop cars going off. She could see just down the hill everyone freaking out. She heard the news reports. She shook her head as she brown locks bounced. "This is insane. They can't just believe this is just...just a storm...a what..." Nancy could barely find the words to speak correctly. "You know what I mean..." She added feeling defeated in trying to explain herself. She looked over at Steve and then Robin before crossing her arms as she stood by Johnathan. This was way more beyond their control and to be honest Nancy even thought it was beyond El's control.
She understood what this all meant. It was time for everyone to get ready for the fight of their life. It didn't matter if she was afraid. In fact, it didn't matter if anyone was afraid this world was going to learn chaos unlike, they have ever known to exist. If she hadn't been witnessing everything Hawkin's Lab had done to this small town, she would think those who lived here were absolutely out of their mind. She truly didn't know if anyone would survive Vecna. They barely made it out alive.
Nancy always had a knack of hearing everything around her not just that, but she paid a lot of attention to her surroundings even more so now. She heard a voice very unfamiliar to her as she turned around to give the girl in front of her all of her attention. She was different and Nancy was a little confused for a second. "It's 1986...." Nancy replied as it faded out a little. "Are you alright? You look like...you may be lost..." She said as she quickly looked back before giving her attention to the girl before her. "I don't think I have ever seen you before..." she added. When she heard her ask about what had been going on she herself wasn't sure how to really answer that question.
"I don't think you would believe me even if I told you..." She instantly responded. Although she knew she would most certainly tell her what had been going on and what was going on. It would not make sense and she was almost certain there would be a lot of confusion, but this was going to be very hard and an enormous fight if anyone wanted to help, she was going to take them up on their offer. However, something told her there was going to be a lot more to take on.

Christmas Traditions - Headcanon.
One of Nancy's favorite christmas traditions was doing the silly secret santa gift within the family. Every year they would pick a name from the hat and they would have to get the most silliest and fun gift for that person. They had shared many laughs doing this. To this day they still do it.

Chaos never dies ~ Drabble.
Thanksgiving. It had to be one of Nancy's favorite holidays. Her mother always made a turkey to die for. Despite all of the unusual things going on through the town of Hawkins she tried to take this time to reflect on how truly thankful she was to still be alive. The thought of Barb's death and all of the others who were taken by Vecna's curse killed her deep down. Nanc however has grown to finally accept she was not responible for what happened only that she wasn't able to try to help in that time of need. If there had been one thing Steve was right about it was that she needed to live her life and accept what happened and only try to help stop the madness. It didn't seem that way though.
Everyone was gathered around the table filling their plates up with delicious foods. Nancy had to give it to her, her mother was an amazing cook and it only seemed to be twice as better around the holidays. Her family was the type to always celebrate, have family nights, help around town and when desired give away whatever they could to the less fortunate, even more so now than ever since Hawkins had officially become a wide open door to merge the two worlds. It seemed a bit on the quieter side she knew anything could happen at any moment.
Call it being too proud but she was right to have that thought, not that she wanted to be right. If she didn't have to deal with hawkins lab, the russians and the monsters that are crawling into the world she lives in she would have been over the moon. Though that hadn't been the case here and she was starting to wonder when she would be able to live a normal life. "I am so glad we can have this time to hopefully try to get back to normal…if we even know what that means anymore" She added as she held her stemless wine glass up. She waited as everyone said their part before they began to eat.
It was only 35 minutes into the meal and everyone talking and laughing that the enitre home had shaken a little. "What was that?" Nancy said as she got up to go look out of the back door. "I…" She began to speak "I think we need to go…." She looked back "Like now…I am not sure what that was but it didn't feel good…" She said closing the door behind her to run out to the front door and open it to take one last look.
"I think its finally woke up and ready to finish the job" She added not moving her eyes off of the outdoors.

Nightmare in Hawkins. - Spooky Drabble.
It had been a long week and Halloween was just around the corner. Ever since Hawkins had been the topic of discussion due to recent events Nancy had felt like it was never going to go back to normal. However she was trying to live life as if it were. Home alone while the family had gone out for the night to the in-laws. Usually Nancy was the first to be there but this time she wanted a quiet night to herself. She had plans to be as basic as possible and watch a ton of horror movies and eat her weight in delicious fats. The Wheeler home started to smell of super butter popcorn and her absolute favorite classic horror movie ready to go.
Nancy danced around her kitchen as she grabbed a popcorn bowl and opened the popcorn pouring it into the bowl. The smell smacking her in the face and she felt a sense of comfort. That was a first. Tossing the bag into the garbage she grabbed her soda and her popcorn as she headed into the living room. The doorbell rang and she grabbed the money before opening the door. "A large extra cheese with green peppers" the male before her said as she held out her money. "Keep the change" She said as he left and she closed the door. The pizza smelled so good she was lucky she made it to the table. Getting her food she went back in and got herself cozy on the couch. Grabbing her remote she started her night long marathon of Nightmare on Elm St.
As the night went on she watched a few more before cleaning up. Her body was becoming super heavy and she knew it was time to just lay down. After all she had barely had much sleep over the course of the last few months. Heading upstairs she shut off the lights as she made her way. Heading into her room she got comfortable and just laid right in the center of her bed and took a deeb breath. Reaching over she got the current book she was reading.
Unsure of how it happened she found herself in a deep…dream. She wasn't sure how or why but she was not in her own world. The hall way seemed to go on forever and it was dark with red lights swinging from the ceiling some of then so low she hit her head just lightly off of a few. As she walked down the hallway it only seemed to grow longer. "What?" She mouthed to herself under her breath. "Helloooooo" She said as she continued. She heard a loud bang as if a iron cage was being shut. She jumped and looked back but there had been nothing but the shadows of the lights swaying back and forth. She walked a bit more before hearing something like knives dragging on the walls, but nothing was there.
She felt her body become shaky as she was now very fearful. It was almost like she stepped into the world of Freddy Kreuger. This had to be a dream. "This is why you should not watch these movies alone nance…" She began to talk to herself as she turned a corner and kept going. Maybe if she could find a door and open it she would wake up. The red ligths stopped in the center of the next hall. She was not sure if it was a good idea but at the very end she had seen a door a big EXIT sign above.
She felt the relief as she walked as fast as she could to get to that door. Her hand on the knob as she turned it and walked right in. It was certainly not an EXIT but in fact an entirely different almost town like. "Hello, Nancy" A man's voice called out but there had been nobody else there but her. "Come on, come inside. I want to show you something..." it said afterwards. Although Nancy did not want to go forth, she found herself unwillingly heading to that direction. Black straps came out of the sides and tied around her wrists. Her heart began to race as her screams filled the empty hallway.

Fall Drabble.
Sitting outside in the front yard of her home in Hawkins it was starting to get a nice crisp and chilly air. It was something she loved growing up. Fall was her favorite time of year. However it wasn't just hers, it was also Barbs. Nancy never forgot about her bestfriend but it was moments like this where she really missed her. She knew it would not be the same, hell it was so far from the same anymore. Horror had always seemed to sneak its way right back into Hawkins from the upside down. Literally.
She held onto her mug of hot cocoa and tried to enjoy what jus may very well be the end of her somewhat peaceful moment in life. There really had been no getting away from what happened and what is to come. Taking a deep breath as she swallowed she smiled to herself at the thought of one of her fondest memories. Nancy had always loved this time of year. She remembered the very first time her and Barb were invited to a Halloween party. One of the reasons she loved fall so much was she loved dressing up for Halloween and having a good time. She had a small book next to her which she had bookmarked with a film strip her and Barb had taken together one Halloween. It was such a sweet memory.
Picking up the book she opened it and pulled out the photo. She could hear the laughter both of them had as they were trying on silly costumes only to end up being a clown and well a bunny rabbit. Silly but so much fun. She remembered actually skipping the party so they could take out her brother Mike and his friends. She didn't always seem it but she could be a good big sister from time to time. Her finger tips ran across the photo as she could feel her cheeks getting a little flushed. It had been almost two years and she still could not let her friend go.
Placing the photo back into the book she set it back down. This year she would try to celebrate the season and holiday without feeling guilty. She was going to do it for Barb. "NANCY!" she heard her name being shouted and she nearly jumped out of her skin. "Coming mom.." She shouted back as she grabbed her mug and book and went to head inside. "I think this year I wanna try to have a good time at least for the time being…I wanna take Mike and Holly out for Halloween" She felt the need to do little things like this just incase the inevitable should happen. She looked at her mother as she put her things down on the counter top. It was almost as if she was at a loss for words. Nany had seemed so preoccupied lately but only the others really knew why.
Nancy loved the idea and the fact that fall helped her in a way essentially try to let go of things she could not control. Fall was a refreshing time of the year and if any could do anything in rememberance of Barb it was going to be this.

WHAT HAUNTS YOU? a personality question.
What haunts you?
Every single day of Nancy's life since she lost her best friend Barb she has lived with the guilt. Although she knows she did not actually kill her best friend but she felt responsible for the moments leading up to her disappearance. If she wasn't so wrapped up in Steve Harrington, she believes that her friend would still be here.

Drabble.
It was all coming back to her, every single encounter which caused her friend to disappear. This had been something she was wanting to never believe. How could she have missed it? It was simple she only cared on impressing Steve Harrington. Her hand on his cheek, she started wiping away the tears that had fallen. She knew he tried to hide it so she didn’t point it out. "You move on quicker than me," she said quietly. “I can’t just let go of what happened “ she began to speak “knowing that something happened to barb..” she began to speak more. She knew he wouldn’t understand though. “I can’t help but think it’s my fault, our fault” she added as her voice went silent.
Nancy drew Steve closer with the palm of her hand on his cheek and moved in for a sweet kiss without thinking about it. It was short but her only option to tell him she felt something between them as well. She was just unable to focus on such things. She smiled as pulled away and felt her cheeks flush a little and she knew she was blushing. "You're an idiot, Steve Harrington." She said as she recalled a special moment between them. “I just can’t put my attention anywhere else until I know what happened to her” she added.
Things weren’t easy to explain to him as he wasn’t there when she entered this other Hawkins. A dark and sinister Hawkins. If she had tried to explain it she would have thought of her to be just like the others. The losers or those who were considered and viewed as crazy. She knew herself it sounded almost like a movie and nothing of the sort could be real. However she knew what she had seen. She was just very worried on what others would think of her. At least at the moment she was. She wanted to figure this out on her own. And she was going to with or without Steve.

Group starter for Steve, Eleven and Sabrina.
Hell. It had been nothing but hell. Nancy and her friends have done everything they could to save Hawkins and others from the evil that is Vecna. Although they have successfully defeated other monsters here and there or so she thought he was a force. It was clear how much it took out of her and everyone else to try to keep the world as sfe as possible but there had to be something right? Sitting at her desktop in her room she started to do some research. She had stories about other forces out there that actually want to do good and want to see good.
Nancy glanced back at Steve, she had finally given him another chance this time around after learning her and Jonathan just didn't have the same idea of a future and that was alright. Nancy was a very understanding person to a point of course. The Byers had been living in Hawkins for a bit at this point since their return from California. This was wonderful news to Nancy because if anyone could help for the most part it would be here. Now all Nancy needed to do was convince El to take Vecna on again once we got her to learn her abilities all over again. She had been torn apart. She wasn't used to losing and Nancy understood that much.
Finally she turned her computer off as she gathered the papers she did print out. She was going to get answers one way or another. She turned around in her chair held them up. "Do you know where El is, Steve?" She asked. It was odd but he was the one with the kids a lot more. Nancy had sort of forgotten how much fun she used to have helping her brother and his friends when she could. However she had changed. "I think we should try to get her to an understanding on what we want to do ... or .. plan to do..." her voice trailed off as ideas starting to flow in her head. "I have heard some stories about a near by town...and I think El can help us find exactly what we need..."She raised an eyebrow as she tucked her hair behind her ear "It may be a stretch but I think this is ultimately a really good idea. What do we have to lose?" She added as she grabbed her papers and placed them in a folder. "Mike may be able to tell us where to find her.." She took a deep breath and smiled. "What more could we lose?" She could not help but try every option they had.
