I'm going to need 5-10 business days to mull over the fact that humans in the Midst cosmos have Fold infused into their very bodies and that this Fold is essential for life. Given that having it siphoned out of them resulted in the Granddaughter feeling an unnatural state of tranquility and emotionlessness the presence of Fold in a person seems to be related to that in some way. Which does track with Dark Sonia in Moonward claiming she exists in the deepest fears and most emotionally painful memories of all people, if emotion itself is inexorably linked to the presence of Fold in a person. Much to consider.
