Brinner won the rescue puppy lottery, and got to be loved by two of my wonderful long term clients @_spicylady_ and @sunniliz who were roommates when they rescued her. An hour out from being euthanized, the shelter wasn’t going to allow anyone to adopt her, but the front desk lady told them “you have to *wink wink* FIND. HER. OWNER. *wink wink*” and Leah’s boyfriend (now husband,) West, came to save the day and claimed Brinner. She was a certified grade A good girl, the best friend to Cash the boxer, and protector of their human children too. What a lucky girl Brinner was to have been saved and loved so dearly. Loving Chase @dubdue is as second nature as breathing. I’m grateful everyday for the life we are building. Kim and I are nearly birthday twins! I had the honor to tattoo my friend @thegoodbrowcolumbus who was down in Charlotte this past weekend visiting and tattooing her local clients! She has made cosmetic tattooing her full time job this past year, and I was trained in it a few years back, so it felt extra special that she would have me do a tattoo based on our shared love of a bold brow, and cosmetic tattooing equipment. One of the final ones before all the mandates for social distancing happened. Still took precautions and myself and my client both wore face masks. I’m going to miss tattooing during this time hunkering down, but I’m grateful to have developed another skill set that I can use in the meantime to support myself. I’ll be posting more stained glass projects throughout the day and getting back to people about pricing inquiries! I appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation. Tattoo shops in NC have to close down at 5pm today due to a state wide mandate while all this COVID-19 blows over. This week is suppposed to be among the worst, but I still feel like we should’ve been doing more, earlier. Please stay home, and please take this seriously. It’s doesn’t only affect the elderly, about 50% of those going into the hospital are between 20-39 years of age (maybe in part because healthcare is so expensive, and so many young people haven’t been to the doctor in years, so they don’t know if they have underlying health conditions.) The longer people ignore the calls to do so, the longer non-essential services are closed and the more likely others are to die because of continued spread. I’ve been asked to be one of the featured artists at @orangeolivenoda in their spring art showing, based on spring and awakening, so I’m pushing myself to make art show worthy stained glass pieces. I’ve been dabbling in stained glass for about a decade now, with some several year long breaks in there, but I really enjoy it, and love how satisfying it is to make something out of glass!
