A little reminder that Telemachus JUST got back from his diplomatic mission, found his home destroyed with bodies in the halls, got ATTACKED.

So I just had this random thought. Remembering back to a post I saw about like Aoyama and how his quirk doesn’t suit with his body. How it always makes him feel nauseas. It makes me think like what if that was the same for Midoriya. And I’m not just talking about the beginning of the show where his bones broke every time he used it. No, that’s him not knowing how to control it. I’m talking what if Midoriya also had to deal with something similar to Aoyama, maybe like headaches, all the time even when he finally figures out how to control OFA. Because it can’t just be that Midoriya works out for a short period of time and then suddenly he’s ready to inherit it, right? And then on top of that, he develops other quirks due to past OFA users? I’m just saying like how interesting would it have been if with every quirk he developed, the harder toll it had on his body? You need to be strong like All Might, but it leaves you with a headache or maybe your whole body aches after. You need whips, but it leaves you feeling nauseas. The idea being quirkless people’s bodies work a little differently than those with quirks because they’re not used to having their body running on a meta ability, so if a quirk is forced into their system it can leave a lot of damages that their body wasn’t born to handle.

Imagine the mental toll as well. All Might and Midoriya both knowing how much OFA is damaging his body. The guilt sinking deeper in All Might because he knew Night Eye told him to choose Mirio as his successor, that Mirio was more fit for the quirk than Midoriya was, but Midoriya already feels responsible to keep it. Midoriya feels like he owes it to his idol to use OFA to strengthen it and use it against Shigaraki and All for One. No matter how much pain OFA puts his body through, he keeps saying that he has everything under control and that this is something that he needs to endure. He’d do anything for All Might, even if it meant putting himself in harms way. He’d see every Villain fight as an opportunity—whether or not related to AFO—to strengthen OFA, but as a result his physical state keeps getting worse, not because of what the Villain does to him, but because of the quirk not suiting his body perfectly like it did for All Might.

(Odysseus steps out of his chambers in Ithaca. Sees a bone.)

Odysseus (scratching his head): That's the sixth one this week. Athena.

Athena (appearing): Yes?

Odysseus: I thought all the suitors were dead.

Athena: They are.

Odysseus (points at the bone): Then do you know who keeps leaving these? Are they a kind of threat or something?

Athena (in realization): Oh, those! No, they're not threats. Those are from Ares.

Odysseus: What?

Athena: He's a fan of yours now. That's how he says he likes you.

Odysseus:...by leaving bones?

Athena: I can call him over here if you want.

Odysseus (quickly): No that's okay--(fails to stop her)

(Ares appears and waves)

Athena (to Ares): He's curious about the bones you keep giving him.

Ares (sadly to Odysseus): You don't like them?

Odysseus (unsurely): N-no, they're great. I just...wanted to know who to thank.

Ares (happily): Good, because I've got more for you!

(A pile of bones drops into Odysseus's arms. Ares waves again and vanishes.)

Odysseus: Do you know why this is his way of showing approval?

Athena: I try not to ask.

Might be my own headcannon, but for everyone who saw the livestream HIS EYES? ODYSSEUS EYES?? The way he reacted without remorse and by sheer rage and very much acting in the way Jay depicted of ares power, and maybe I’m just thinking too much into it but
