For those who don’t know, stimming, also known as self-stimulating behaviour, is repetitive movements, actions or behaviours made by people with developmental disorders such as autism or sensory processing disorder for reasons such as it being calming, pleasant, and providing a predictable sensory stimuli to reduce the stress felt when presented with unpredictable/overwhelming stimuli.
