Day 013. I went to a book store a few months ago and I saw an edition of The Choice by Nicholas Sparks that just had a dog on the cover. It needed somebody kissing. Something more like this.

So, last year I spent about 5 months of my life reading Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace and boring the hell out of anyone who talked to me because I could not stop blabbing about it. Now I’ve finished it and listened to the audio book once (because reading it once again not one year after I finished would be too much, even for me) and I want to sort of pay tribute to it because it was a challenge to me for me to finish it but it also felt very rewarding at the end. There is SO much material in there, so you’ll definitely be seeing more Infinite Jest related fan art in here.

Being a native Spanish speaker, I never knew the phrase “the howling fantods” was invented by DFW’s mom, and that she had a thing for inventing words. I found that pretty cool, and if I ever have a band that’s what I’m naming it. I just have to learn how to play an instrument first, but at least I have the logo already.
