More than anything in the world, Rosalind Lang wanted redemption, and if this was how she got it, then so be it.

2025 books - vicious (villains #1) by ve schwab But these words people threw around - humans, monsters, heroes, villains - to Victor it was all just a matter of semantics. Someone could call themselves a hero and still walk around killing dozens. Someone else could be labeled a villain for trying to stop them.

read in 2025: bury our bones in the midnight soil by v.e. schwab
Death comes, and sometimes it is kind, and often it is cruel, and very rarely it is welcome. But it comes all the same.

the problem with having a decade old tumblr blog is that there are posts on it from a decade ago
#the utter jumpscare and the way I want to 💀 when someone reblogs or likes my old sjm posts#I would go through and delete them all if it wouldn’t take me 987653 years to do it#text

2024 books - gallant by v.e. schwab
All her life, she wanted a house and a garden and a room of her own. But tucked inside that want was something else: a family. Parents who smothered her with love. Siblings who teased because they cared. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews—in her mind a family was a sprawling thing, an orchard full of roots and branches.

THE COUNTDOWN HAS IN FACT ENDED and I did very much enjoy the live self-gaslighting happening while people tried to figure out if the lines were actually disappearing every hour
I am bouncing up the walls with excitement to announce that my next YA is on the way—not one, not two, but ✨three✨ upcoming books!!! COLDWIRE is the expansive, futuristic world I’ve adored creating in secret, and I can’t wait to share more soon… Mark your calendars for Fall 2025 🫶🏻

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

@chbnet pjo show countdown event → 2 days left (the sea of monsters)
You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of bone, You shall find what you seek and make it your own, But despair for your life entombed within stone, And fail without friends, to fly home alone.
