For those of you who don’t know who this couple is, this is Alli and Charles Trippy. They are both YouTube celebrities who vlog their daily lives - they are even recognized by Guinness World Records for most consecutive daily videos. They have been vlogging every single day of their lives for the past 1,603 days - or 5 years.
Charles is also bassist in the band We The Kings.
On Tuesday, Charles underwent brain surgery to remove a small piece of a tumor surgeons could not remove after his first surgery to remove a larger mass (which was benign) almost a year ago. This brain slug has caused him to have multiple seizures.
What made this surgery different and difficult was because of where the tumor was located - Charles had to be awake during the surgery so they could determine what impact the removal of the tumor was having on his left side of his body. Right now, Charles is having a difficult time with his motor skills on his left side - raising his arm, some speech issues. But he is getting better and will continue in therapy the next few weeks.
They are still filiming their lives every day - in fact, Charles vlogged his brain surgery (SFW, don’t worry)!
I obviously get nothing from this post, but they are SO close to having 1,000,000 (1 million) subscribers on YouTube. For a couple that has vlogged every day of their lives - dating years, the engagement, even at the wedding and now this health scare - they truly deserve 1 million subscribers.
