Commissioner wanted a nice round shield of about the same size as that white wooden one I made years ago (and later down this blog) with the leaf wreath on it, made in foam with a back strap, pipe grip, and quick release arm strap.
(Shield constructed of 2" expanded polystyrene insulation foam, duct tape, gorilla glue, webbing straps and buckles, and a guitar strap.)

Commissioner plays a fire-elemental person, and requested claws with a fire theme and said go nuts, so I did a magma theme. Very happy with how it turned out!
(Weapons constructed from fiberglas spar, polyethene foam, duct tape, and friction tape for the grip.)

Created for a pro-wrestling themed tournement in January at Waerloga, the Snowflake Smackdown! Weapons were all stuff you'd find in a hardcore wrestling match, so I made a folding (does not actually fold, I had a short deadline lol) chair and a garbage can.
(Constructed fom 3/8" EVA foam floor mats, spray paint, and some carefully hidden fiberglas spar on the chair to give it structure.)
#people fukken loved hitting each other with these lol#boffer#larp#lightspeed boffer#wrestling#pro wrestling#steel chair

Commissioner wanted me to make another kanabo, this time at 2H length. Used a lot of strategies from the original build to make this baby even better, including attaching the studs before the final layer of tape (and making that part screamingly difficult but better looking as a result). Used a large hole punch and EVA foam sheets to make the studs themselves, hence them being larger on this build, too.
(Weapon constructed of 3/4" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, camp foam, 2mm EVA foam sheets, upholstery foam, hot glue, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

Commissioner wanted one (1) fire-themed flat claw with a crossguard of some kind to help it stay on a sword frog. I eventually made a larger crossguard for him.
(Weapon constructed of fiberglas spar, polyethelene foam, 2mm EVA foam sheets, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

A pair of swords for Waerloga. A pair of PCs were sealed into blades by a powerful outsider, so each sword represents a PC. The white and burgundy one is Vera Dawnwright, a woman running from past mistakes and trying to forge a new life as she protects her friends and loved ones from evil. The black and red one is Thaddeus Killian, filthy-mouthed yet big-hearted man of medicine. Both justicars in service of Carolynth, god of knowledge, protection, secrets, and the barriers between the planes.
They got better, of course, but Vera carried around and used the blade that once held her for the rest of the campaign. <3
(Weapon constructed of fiberglas spar, polyethelene foam, camp foam, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

Remember the Thunderseal swords I made? Well that PC died tragically in a way that kicked off a shitload of personal plotines for a bunch of characters, especially his closest friends. One of whom commissioned this dagger in memoriam.
(Weapon constructed of ½" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

Very very proud of this one. Commissioner wanted a scarab beetle-themed shield, and asked if I could figure out a way to get that cool shiny colour you see on scarabs. Said I'd give it a shot, and discovered the beauty that is Hula Hoop Tape. It's pricey, particularly for this much surface area, but the commissioner has deep pockets and didn't care. That lovely green-gold sheen is hula hoop tape over black duct tape, to get that super unique shine.
He also wanted a cross-body strap, adjustable arm strap with quick release, and a hand-grip with a piece of grip-taped pipe to hold. Built into the back of the shield is a pocket for spell packets, with a fabric flap with a magnet in it. Corresponding magnets are in the pocket and the back of the shield behind it, to hold the pocket open or closed with ease.
(Shield constructed of 2" expanded polystytrene insulation foam, duct tape, hula hoop tape, webbing straps and buckles, 2mm eva foam sheets, neodynium magnets, 1/2" PVC pipe, friction tape on the pipe for grip, and a guitar strap.)

Commissioner wanted a shield shaped off of something from a video game (idk what) with a diagonal tree with chains wrapped around it. Cross-body strap, adjustable quick-release arm strap, and webbing grip.
DO NOT ASK ME HOW LONG IT TOOK TO CARVE THOSE CHAINS OUT OF DUCT TAPE. My hands still don't forgive me for that one ;-;

Commissioner wanted a gnarled, viney-looking staff with carvings representing all of the gods of Waerloga, plus all four of Waer's (the god of mortals) symbols. All of them are carved duct tape.
Waer: Pentacle, Cup, Sword, Wand (god of mortals and fate) Lochi: Wheat (god of agriculture) Iowei: Sun (god of sun, war, nobility) Nodden: Mountain with a path winding to it (god of travel, adventure, challenge) Tirnan: Flaming anvil (god of crafting, magic, metallurgy) Carolynth: Book with key (god of knowledge, protection, secrets, planar barriers) Nelphi: Nightshade flower (god of secrets, darkness, moon) Sturm and Drang: Electric eel (twin god of nature, storm, predation) Manos: Manacled fist with broken chain (god of chaos, rebellion, breaking fate, freedom) And just a lil feather at the bottom. <3
Tbh I'm most proud of that eel. Nature and storm together as one. Plus it looks sick as fuck.
(Weapon constructed of 3/4" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, electrical tape.)

Commissioner wanted a pair of daggers based off of a pair from a video game, but I sadly no longer remember what game. o-o
Details were painted on, the treated with matte varnish to help protect them a little.
(Weapon constructed of ½" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

One of the last few remaining weapons from a group of weapons I made for evil Mystic Knights (called Psycho Knights) that I neglected to get photos of much to my chagrin. This is the knife of the Black Knight, a sidearm as their main weapon was a bow. I just love how the blade curls back to kind of make a knuckle guard.
(Weapon constructed of ½" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

Fili, the Bard's Sword, wielded by Knight-Seneschal Ser Alciner Pancervine, Indigo Knight, my major NPC at Waerloga. She trained Mystic Knights. The sword granted her fluency in any language, and could be used as her eyes and ears if someone else wielded it. She was also bound to it for like a century or so, stuck inside thanks to a ritual. She was very bored.
Crossguard based loosely on the Great Fairy Sword from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, but in Alcinder's signature indigo and some azure to make it pop.
(Weapon constructed of ½" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, electrical tape, and friction tape on the grip.)

The blade has since been tightened up against the haft more so it doesn't stick out so far, but this is Gjallarhorn, the axe of hordeborn folk hero and godkiller Hulfrefulk at Waerloga. This weapon is utterly ridiculous on possible, but it's also basically a pillow.
The design is based on an alpenhorn on one side, so the top and bottom's surfaces are black to suggest an opening, like someone took a horn and squashed it kinda flat. And then attached an axe blade to one side. Like you do.
Little Fenris hounds on the bottom end, and some Icelandic sweater patterning in a band around the horn for some flair.
(Weapon constructed of 3/4" pvc, 5/8" wall pipe insulation, upholstery foam, duct tape, and electrical tape.)

A little internal photo to show my process on this bad boy.
Commissioner wanted something organic and eldritch in the form of a staff, and just let me go nuts with it. So I did. Vague Omega Flowey vibes here, and man oh man was that a complicated carve. My electric knife was still new and sharp back then! XD
