while we’re talking about it

the new layout is Extremely Inaccessible, and I feel like Accessibility is something that Flight Rising just genuinely does not seem to understand and consider from a Visual standpoint. 

which, its a dragon petsite, but more than that fr is? a business? it’s 7 years old, and no longer at the point where it’s just someones small little pet project of a site. And I feel like that really needs to factor in somewhere when you’re talking about the idea of Accessibility, and how much more they should be considering it. 

They need to be asking these questions. They need to be looking at it with a different lens when building these things. It’s genuinely frustrating to me the degree to which this seems to get missed. And if they are considering these things and having a major discussion about it? Then they should really reevaluate what checks they have in place, because it does not come through at all.

Its been literal years since I used FR but every time I think about going back, the team has made their site less accessible and still throws fits about using extensions to God forbid make their site usable to someone with disabilities. Almost all the problems they've had for years are still there, still unsolved, with the ONLY one I can remember being fixed being keyboard controls for the coli.

Which sucks, you know? I put a lot of work into my lair, I LOVED my dragons, and God there's so much art I commissioned that just sits there unused. It's a shame.
