New trips planned on my brand new bike

Can’t wait for the new year things are looking up I’ve had a u and down few months as thought I bought a property but after the survey it’s looking like to much cost and hassle to repair and do up I’m eyeing up a new property in a new area closer to my best mate who I grew up with yay

I'm finally back

I've been not able to post for a while but I'm back people and looking to post more regularly now,

ive had a busy few months due to family emergency's and a unreliable motorcycle but thatll change as picked up a brand new 125cc scooter which ill be using for bike trips around the uk and abroad if i get confident enough and ive just in the process of buying my first home watch this space as ill update my blog on both over the coming week

Well that was an up and down day like being on a rollercoaster last Sunday started off well doing halve a day's work covering at the local paintball site in Tunbridge @kent paintball last round of the day for the group I was marshalling I got shot in the Adams apple first time in 18 years of playing and 15 marshalling yeas I'm that old lol have I ever got shot in the Adams apple had a few close calls lol,

Then left to view a property to rent on my way there got mad a honouree Harley biker member as I caught up to about 20-25 Harley bikers and I just joined on the back of their group and they even kept the round about traffic blocked from me lol and rode with them for 9-10 miles learnt a few things from the way they ride .

Then I didn't even get to see the place eventually and was nearly rushed into making mistakes on my way back to my evening shift I was shaken by the time I got to work then managed to clear 30% of back stock for soft drinks about 9 rollers I slept well that night.

I give that a 70% success for trying to fit the important stuff I'll need for my trip best to test it all now rather than days before the trip in case I need to replace or adapt anything.

From this test I need a bigger elastic net and find someone or somewhere to extend some velcro straps as my bikes are too wide for the panniers straps so it'll be more evenly weighted when I put my full kit and some stuff won't dig in my back and I can keep the prezzies safe and secure so it won't be crushed or broken for my young family members

Order my next and first big bike it's such a popular bike I needed to put myself on a waiting list to get one at least this will 1) give me a chance to save up and buy the bike out right or as much as possible and 2) will give the goal of getting my full motorbike license as I can't ride a 350cc bike on a CBT eek so excited cannot wait

Got the next plan for the next humongous ride next in 2023 it'll be up the spine of Britain one side and then four to six months later do the other,

The next great icon and bit of good luck / Karma is while u was writing an email to an adventure bike specialist to see if I could get a smaller version of the Honda X ADV / BMW R1150gs touring bike a cross between the two and a lot light but with the similar perks of the bikes,

Cutting to the chase I come across an article that Honda are making a 350CC version of the X ADV 750CC with alot of the ADV perks and aspects but with a smaller CC engine and weight so it'll be the perfect step up for me and will do me for the foreseeable as it'll be capable of handling motorways with a top speed of 95 plus and it will also handle some off road ride like gravelly muddy roads like some of the country roads I encountered on my way home from faversham due to the road closures,

Thought while I'm in London I'd go and see my old house mates and have a cuppa while my phone charges up but will leave soon as it looks like it'll rain 🌧️ lucky I packed water proofs with me as it's a 43 mile trip home and hour and 20 minutes

Picked up my bike today happy days though I did get the shock of my life as confused.com changed my insurance twice , first of adding 150 quid to it then to a little over 400 for the year I could cope with that lol, then I couldn't use my no claims bonus so I'll have to start from scratch again bit they tried to put it up to £1612 that's 400 over what the bikes worth then luckily found a decent insurance company who took on board my age and me owning a bike before even though it was years ago and that's still bike experience and gave me a quote for quarter of the the other price.
