Telling the 'rents.
Maybe it was nausea from being pregnant but, I thought I was gonna throw up. I pulled out my phone and searched for his mothers name through my immaculate list of contacts. I found her name. My hand shook and then I froze. I must have been standing there for quite some time because a couple across the hall were starring like I was an alien. I finally choked up the nerve to press call. It rang, and rang. She answered. I said, "Hi, Jackie. It's Rachael." She immediately said, "you're pregnant, aren't you?" I froze in silence. "Um, yes." She said, "okay, I'll come get y'all." NO WAY!? SHE WAS CALM, COOL, AND COLLECTED. She showed up 10minutes later. Got out of the car, smiled, hugged me, and said "you know you're living with us now, right?" I smiled and got in the car. ....now I gotta tell my dad. FATHER PROTECTION: I sat in the car thinking of how to tell him. Minutes flew by. I couldn't call, so I texted. (Bad idea) HE FLIPPED. He said he was disappointed, upset, and hurt. I felt terrible. I couldn't stand to face him face to face. So, I decided to stay with them for a week. I don't know how THAT benefited me...
