Vue: theft, injury and hour adjustment

Vue as a place is not the best working environment. Hours are long, breaks are unpaid and their are little to no benefits other than free movies and a 40% concessions discount.

However, I didn't expect it to be toxic. Firstly, individual's have joined the company and been denied access to an account preventing them from being clocked on and paid for their work, especially those for whom English is not a first language, the managers take advantage and allow them to work for free. This wage theft is also the case for indivuals who have worked for a long time, with hours being adjusted post-hoc to align with the number of hours provided to managers for the rota week. This is not how a company should function, if the site goes over the number of hours supplied, the manager(s) should explain to the company why this is the case, not dock pay for the time people have already worked.

Literal theft has also occurred. Since starting at my site the blender has had a vital part missing on top, items could still be blended but with something to cover the top of the blender, lest all of the contents go flying everywhere. However, almost every employee chose to say the blender was broken and did not make milkshakes for customers. One manager therefore purchased a new blender at the low, low cost of £1000. No, I didn't accidently add another 0, a thousand. This was the blender that the company chose as necessary. It arrived, I saw it in the office and asked managers when it could be brought down, they gave excuses about it needing to not be busy to bring it down (a blender does not need to be set up, it's a blender). And then, one day, it was gone. According to one manager, another manager took the blender home for 'safekeeping', who's to say they didn't sell it and not care about the existing blender being replaced?

Finally, injury. On her first shift at the site, Alice took out the over 63 degree Celsius tray that hot dog buns are kept in and out and down in came, onto her foot, she took several days off and missed multiple shifts due to the injury. This tray had been broken for months before that, and the managers had done nothing to fix it until the day following the incident whereupon it was fixed. It is so unfortunate that steps to fixes like this that endanger employees are not taken before injuries occur but only after.

Overall, the management team at Vue have so far created an environment where people have shifts cut, feel overwhelmed, get injured and are thieved from.

I know it’s unlikely anyone will see this but I’m a bit terrified because this hacking thing is getting out of hand. I guess I’m an idiot for using the same password for everything but now these people are getting access to my laptop when I’m not there, I left the screen on for a few hours and did some other things and came back to a notepad entry with my bank account number on my screen I’m really freaked out does anyone have any advice

i'm SO serious........... someone figured out my (very easy predictable if you know me at all) password and it's the same for all my social media so they changed my recovery email and then password for my facebook and locked me out and my email was like bro!! someone's on your account!! so i got spooked. and then my phone was like um... are you in america??? cause someone in america is trying to sign in as you,,, i was like....no..... but you know what account they signed into and did NOTHING on?? MY TUMBLR LAMOOOOOOOO
