Listen, I’m part of the generation that uses humor to cope, I love all the memes about 2020 just as much as you guys do. I laugh at the “we got the real roaring 20′s”, “we wanted 2020 to be a movie but we got the wrong genre”, “we really thought 2020 would be our year” sardonic tweets.

But to the people like me, who really thought 2020 would be their year?

Love, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry you walked into this year with a smile and hope, and that smile immediately fell, and that hope was immediately crushed

I’m sorry that every day there’s something else, I’m sorry that you’re scared, I’m sorry that you’re angry, I’m sorry that you’re tired.

And I know, I know that you’re having a hard time hoping again. Trust me, I know.

A somewhat dark imagining of the connected fates of Ocarina of Time‘s Hyrule, Majora’s Mask‘s Termina, and Wind Waker‘s Great Sea.

This poem imagines what would have happened if Link had never left the land that made him a hero… If he had never left Hyrule and stumbled into Termina…

Hyrule would have been saved and would not have drowned, and so the Great Sea would never be formed…

This piece is inspired by the fantastic Golden Sun series (on GBA, DS, and Wii U VC).

This piece tells of the group of adepts that set out to bring alchemy back to the world and prevent Weyard from fading into nothingness.

This is a poem about the Happy Mask Man from Ocarina of Time, who makes an important re-appearance in Majora’s Mask.

This character has always seemed a little… unhinged… This poem implies quite a deep-seated imbalance and gives a rather creepy view of him…
