Part 3
The Day we left.
28th of August 2018 is the day we left. We got up at 4:30am to get ready to leave. My dad was our driver to the airport, so he showed up at my mom’s house in time for leaving (I don’t remember the exact time that we left). Saying goodbye to my mom and my brother was hard, it might not have been any tears, but it was definitely hard. It took us about an hour to get to the airport where we meet up with our third friend. We sent of our suitcases, we were all traveling with one big suitcase each as well as one small suitcase as hand luggage and a backpack. A little struggle we all had when packing was that we couldn’t go above 23kg on our big suitcases and 10kg on our smaller luggage, a lot of stuff had to be rethought about and taken out. But in the end we managed. Out of my family members my dad was the last person I saw before heading off to find our gate. I have thought about that a lot, and I do have to say that I really miss my dad. But a little outside of this story of how I get to where I am now, my dad is coming to visit me soon🥳 and I could not be happier about it. I am so excited for my dad to come here and see how I live and what I like about Korea.
I think I might end this part here next part will be out very 🔜 and that will be all about the plane rides.✈️
If there is any questions I am open to answer🐯

Part 2 of Moving to Seoul
Booking of thickets, Dorm, Share House and last day at home 🏠
After we booked out plane thickets, there wasn’t much else we could do then wait for the right time to pack. During those 4 or 5 moths we spent a lot of time with our family or at least I did, as well as trying to spend some time with friends.
But we also had to apply for a dorm during that time, as well as apply for student loan and get out visa sorted. Applying for dorm was one of the most stressful things and little did we know that that as going to be even more stressful. Ohh the day we were applying for dorm, we had a really long group phone call because none of us could figure it out, until we came to the conclusion that it just wasn’t open yet. But later that night it opened and we could finally apply. I can’t remember clearly, but I am guessing that it was a few weeks later that we got an email from school. This email was supposed to tell us that we had gotten our dorm, but instead it said that we didn’t. So we didn’t get a dorm, and we had to find a new place to live.
We did a lot of searching, and then one of us managed to find a share house. The share house looked very nice, a lot of things would be provided which was a good thing for us since we wouldn’t know where to get everything we would need. So we ended up choosing that place. (I will see if I can insert some pictures of the place, I will also talk more about it later on).
Finally August came and it was then time to really pack and get ready. The closer we came to the day we were leaving everything became more and more real. And I didn’t actually finish packing until the day before we were leaving. The day before we were leaving, my dad and I had to pick up Linni at the airport. (See the difference in how I wright our nicknames Linni and Liny, Liny is me Linni is my friend😋) Linni had to fly ✈️from Trondheim to Oslo were we picked her up and then we went to visit our old school where we first met, here we also met up with some of our old classmates. After that it was time to go home finish packing, spend time with family and then sleep. 🐯

Moving To Seoul🇰🇷
Part 1
So this all started at the beginning of February 2018 when I applied to Ewha Women’s University’s Language Center to start learning Korean, or well it might have started before that, but that is another story of how I got into Learning Korean🇰🇷. So in February I applied to Ewha Language Center and got in for Fall and Winter semester YaY!😆 And then the planning really started. I wasn’t going alone so all this planning was not all by myself thankfully. I was going with friends. The planning started with skype calls about plane tickets, about what time we wanted to leave and stuff. So out little group split up. Two of the others would be leaving before us three others.
And then about 4 or 5 months before school would start came the time to really look at the plane tickets, going through different airlines (I thing that’s what it’s called) checking pricing, dates, times and hours. Then we managed to find the one with three seats left, and a cheap price. It’s very difficult to find plane thickets that are cheap from Norway to Korea, but we got them. We decided to go ahead and book them right away. And so our move to Korea became more real.
There goes a lot of planning as well as money into doing something so big and life changing. You would maybe think that this will go all smoothly, but we were in for many, many surprises. I don’t want these posts to be too long so I will be splitting these into parts, how many parts I don’t know yet, but probably as many parts as needed to catch up to where I am now. 😊 So this will be it for this part, Part 2 and hopefully 3 will be out soon 😆 bye~ 🇰🇷

Hello and welcome to my travel blog (well travel isn’t exactly the right word, but I can find anything better to use at the moment 😅 I will post an explanation of that later)
I wanted to start this blog to share my experiences and maybe hear about others experiences as well, so you will be following me on my journey in Seoul South Korea 🇰🇷 that is at least where I want to start, for now. I have a bit of experience moving away from mother country already before coming to Seoul, so I might talk about that but that will be later. For now I first want to focus on my experience in Seoul both living, studying and just stuff I find interesting to post about😋
I really hope I can do well with this blog even though all my hard studying and the tons of homework I get😁
