hello, hello! i’m sarah/s & if chaewon seems familiar ... that’s because she is! i was here with her ( with loona’s hyunjin as fc ) a few months back! under the cut, you’ll find a basic rundown of everything chaewon! please give this post a like for me to sneak into your dms, and the first 10 likers may even find some chocolates in their inbox!

chaewon went to drama school as a kid and loved it!! a really shy baby, but loved being on stage! auditioned for legacy in january 2017. was really into it at first but recently has been doubting herself.

participated in season 1 of future dreams ( by the good grace’s of the admins allowing her to keep her past!! ), but has decided to opt out of season 2 because she’s really not feeling all that good in herself at the moment ): she wants to spend the next trimester focusing on getting her confidence back up!!

softest most friendliest girlie ever. just so soft all the time, wants to befriend absolutely everyone! takes care of all her juniors constantly.

hello everyone! chaewon and i return, back from (uni and work) the dead! i really want to get the ball rolling again with her, so please, if you’re interested in plotting and interacting, like this post for a message or comment for a starter!!

Amused and proud, Seungmin follows after Chaewon. She seems confident so he wants to see where she’ll take them. Or she could be rushing in blind. In that case, he’ll figure out how to edit it otherwise. She’s helping him with the show. The least he could do is make her show up well. He also wants to win this since it’s his own show, but he’s not about to be a sore loser too.

“Good point. If we’re looking at summer clothes then they’d all be long gone. Sold or sent off to thrift stores.” He remarks in thought. He strokes his chin as if he’s thinking but already has an idea.

“But we don’t have to only use the season to express ourselves. There are colors too and patterns. I was thinking let’s keep this a look both boys and girls of our age could wear. What do you think?”

He looks over at her again to read her expression. “And we can also look at outer clothes first. Like a jacket. Nobody can do anything in this weather if they’re shivering.” He gives a slight chuckle as he gazes at the directory. “It’d be on the second floor. Let’s go find an escalator.”

chaewon nods along as seungmin talks, furrowing her brow as if she’s thinking really hard about it all. in reality, it’s his show - she’s just along for the ride and the friendly competition. crossing her arms over her chest, chaewon gives the camera an affirmative nod. “i agree! lets try to be gender neutral. everyone watching at home can see if they can recreate our looks too.” she winks at the lens before she goes back to listening. it’s still a little surreal to her that this is going to go on the company’s channel, and that people will know who she is ... not a lot of people yet, she understands that, but still. “sounds like a plan! i don’t know how much i’m willing to suffer for fashion ... definitely not that much.” chaewon fakes a little shiver.

once they’re upstairs chaewon does a quick scan of the floor plan. now she’s actually thinking. “hm ... there’s not a lot of denim.” she pauses. “i may have to rethink my plan.”

A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT in her life when it came to being a trainee was the loss of her social media profiles. rina’s been always the girl actively updating her instagram to keep her followers updated. it was also her form of networking, a thing that’s almost a must in the business industry. but it’s all gone now, and she’d missed it until inspiration hit rina to make a scrapbook of photos. not as public, but still a good way to retain her memories.

     ❛ ― as you wish, my cute fairy! ❜ rina responds, voice singsong while she adjusts her pose to take the photo. she finds the younger girl’s appearance adorable, only two steps away from squishing chaewon’s cheeks. they probably look like an odd duo, two girls wearing drastically different costumes. but that’s the point of halloween. ❛ ― eh, i don’t think they’d notice if we grab a copy. ❜ though rina’s not positive about her statement.  ❛ ― but let me take one on my phone and send it to you later. also yea, i think we keep the cams. ❜ 

     it would be a bad time to confess she’d been so excited she didn’t remember what the clear instructions were. but rina has her phone, that’s what’s makes it count for anything personal. ❛ ― how’s this? ❜ the film slides out after the shutter clicks, and she aggressively shakes it so that it develops.

it’s better not to test the company’s boundaries, in chaewon’s opinion, so she affirms rina’s choice to take out her phone. “we do? we can takes lots more anyways once the party is over then.” she poses for the phone photo with a wink, and then cutely, creating a little flower under her chin with her hands for the instant photo. she hops out of the streamers, laughing at the violent way rina shakes the photograph. “here, stop, stop! let me get a photo of you ... then we can shake them together.” 

it’s funny though, chaewon thinks, holding the camera in hand, that other people were going to be buying the photos they take tonight soon. “isn’t it weird?” she vocalizes her opinion. “you know, that our faces are going to be auctioned off? we’re just trainees, not anyone special.” she wrinkles her nose, remembering that this isn’t just a halloween party - it’s a launch party too. “though, you’ve been on the youtube channel, right? and the show starts tonight ... i guess we are in the public eye. i hadn’t really thought about it like that until right now.”

chaewon shakes off her frown, her bright smile returning. “but enough about that. we’re here to have fun, not get existential. come on, let me get a pic of you!”

chaewon loves personality questionnaires ... and hates her own naivety for thinking that that’s all this would be. after the week they’d had, and knowing the party was coming up later, chaewon really thought that maybe they would give it a rest. she and kyunga don’t know each other well, at all, but she’d spoken to her a little as they filled out their questionnaires beside each other. 

the cream canon came as a nasty shock, perhaps the nastiest shock so far throughout all of the pranks, and chaewon isn’t proud of the cry she let out as she was hit in the face. maybe she sobbed a little. just maybe ... how embarrassing. she wonders how the rest of the trainees took it? who was after her anyways? she runs to the bathroom as soon as she’s let go, where she ties back her long hair and tidies up herself as best she can with paper towels.

chaewon comes back from the bathroom armed with a roll of paper towels to help whoever was next, and she sees kyunga leave the cream canon room. of course, how could she forget? chaewon runs over to her and holds out the paper. “here, kyunga, are you okay? did any get in your eyes?”

charlie steps out of the convenience store feeling defeated yet again. she didn’t realize how much it meant to her to see see familiar faces in her routine, until they were gone. she didn’t think something as trivial as her small talk with the cashier was something that left an impression on her – strong enough to be bothered that the young girl doesn’t see her as much. she should’ve befriended the girl, asked for her name.

it has been a particularly stressful week, she has been out of it for the most part. she couldn’t get her song right, kept messing up her chords, and still having second thoughts about her song choices. she feels even worse because she and jiyeol had been practicing for a while now, and she truly liked their song choices – she’s probably just nervous about going on stage again to perform.

she steps into the building, putting on her smile, bowing to greet the same kind people who offer her more genuine smiles than she ever did. and just at the end of the hallway, she recognizes someone ( @lgcchaewon ) she had wanted to see for weeks now. charlie doesn’t think twice and walks up to her, smiling as she waved, “hey, i finally found you!”

chaewon misses her job. she never thought she would miss the monotony of it, and she definitely never figured she would miss the late night callers that spooked her sometimes. she misses seeing her regular customers, but most of all chaewon misses the snacks she would sneak back into her dorm every night. 

she’s tip - tapping her feet as she stands idly in the hallway drinking from her water bottle. the future dreams project is ... more taxing than she expected. truthfully, she doesn’t feel the toll it’s taking on her until she stops and lets herself relax. then chaewon can feel her hips and knees calling out for help, the scratch of her throat that reminds her to stick her face in steam every night. so, she prefers to keep herself distracted, whether that’s by bouncing from foot to foot or by the sound of a greeting from further down the corridor.

chaewon looks up, instantly returning the smile. a regular customer, here at legacy entertainment, huh? how hadn’t she noticed before...

“hi! ah, it’s nice to meet you not wearing my old work uniform but i’m afraid my hoodie and leggings aren’t much better.”

       ♡ for @lgcmiso​ / hell week, wednesday.

an actor dressed as a ghost drifts past miso and chaewon in the corridor. earlier in the day, chaewon would have freaked, and she did, but after a while in the horror-fied version of the building, she was used to it. she’s never really been one opposed to spooky things, on the contrary, she enjoys the thrill of a scary movie every now and then.

in the morning, she gave legacy’s resident pranksters the kind of reaction they were looking for, in the form of a yelp as a zombiefied woman dragged her way across chaewon’s path, forcing her to do double take and her heart to skip a beat. 

that being said, midway through the day, the set up is getting kind of annoying. chaewon looks over her shoulder to see the actor round a corner, disappearing from view, then turns to miso. “would you ever do a horror movie, miso? i think you’d be good in one, but as the final girl, or like a sexy vampire or demon. not anything actually ...” it takes her a second to settle on the right word, “ugly.”

she feels a little bad saying that - it’s not in her nature to call things ugly, not even zombies or ghosts or ghouls in various states of decomposition.

       ♡ for @lgchime​ / future dreams week 3, preparation process + dalla dalla.

it can’t do chaewon any harm to practice with the girl who ranked number one at the very start, can it? she only considers it briefly, before she pushes that thought away. that’s not who chaewon is - she’s not that kind of competitor, she’s a good sport. 

and anyways, her and himeko are just having fun while they can. the cameras being on are incidental, far from chaewon’s mind. it’s nice, to train and hang out with her like this, even if it is in the context of the show. hime has always been chaewon’s senior in the company, but at school, it was the other way around. now, they’re kind of on an even playing field... kind of.

well, they both wish they were in different groups anyways. that’s even enough, right? bim bam bum has grown on chaewon over the last week or so, she actually really likes it now, but dalla dalla is still her favourite out of all of the songs overall, and this week they get to learn it.

“oh! i like this bit!” chaewon hops up onto her feet with a laugh, rapping and dancing along with the demo track. “bad bad, i’m sorry i’m bad, i’m just the way i am.”

interview portion:

if you were transferred to the dalla dalla group tomorrow, do you think you could do well?

chaewon giggles, and then nods. “i think so! don’t you?” she pretends to be offended for a second and then laughs again, shaking her head. “i think i suit both dalla dalla and bim bam bum well, but i would only transfer to dalla dalla if i could bring hime with me. i’m happy with bim bam bum in the end, so she deserves the chance more.”

       ♡ for @lgcrina​ / legacy entertainment’s yearly costumed halloween party.

thanks to the future dreams project, chaewon hasn’t gotten to see rina in what feels like forever. this party is not only a well needed night of fun after weeks of working herself to the bone, but it’s also perfect for them. the fujifilm instax camera is just too cute. chaewon would have never been able to afford one on her own, now that she’s given up her job to participate in the show. their shared scrapbook has, unfortunately, not been looked at much by chaewon due to her grueling recording and rehearsal schedule, but if there’s anybody at this party who knows how to take a good aesthetic picture, it’s chaewon and rina.

“take a photo of me poking out of these streamers?” chaewon asks, hopping behind the curtain of black and gold streamers and poking out her head. her costume is simple but cute. chaewon is a woodland fairy, in a dreamy white dress and covered in flowers, complete with fairy wings on her back. she really likes it, but it doesn’t suit the luxurious decor of the party, unfortunately. “it’s a pity we won’t be able to keep these... take another one on your phone, maybe? we get to keep the cameras though, don’t we?”

chaewon can’t really remember, but she’ll be damned if they don’t get some bits and pieces to remember this night by.

♡ yerin:

      [ 행복 ] – yerin wasn’t expecting to be placed so high in ranking, she always felt like there was always room for her to improve and it felt weird to be sitting in the top five like that. perhaps it was because she had more time with the company, but she didn’t think she belonged up there. dancing to her was always a weak point, so she could always use all the help that she could get. it was also nice that she was also getting the chance to get to know the other contestants better as well. she was glad that chaewon had agreed to help her. 

    ❝ adios sounds like a good starting place, let’s do that then, ❞ yerin agrees, seated on the ground as she does a few last minute stretching exercises to loosen up her muscles. she wasn’t used to practicing around cameras and she could feel her nerves creeping up on her as she picks up her eska bottled water and takes a sip before standing up to join her companion. following the other’s moves the best that she could.

“we’ll run it at full tempo first, if that’s okay with you? and then again, at half speed.” hey, maybe if this whole idol thing doesn’t work out, chaewon can become a dance teacher. that wouldn’t be so bad. “if you want me to stop at any point, just tell me, okay? i don’t mind.”

adios’ choreography is powerful, and chaewon is excited to practice it - and she goes hard, wanting to give yerin the best model to go off of that she could. she keeps up the counting all the way through, even if it leaves her a little out of breath sometimes. she’s only glad that she won’t have to count or sing all the way through it in the final recording ... she’ll probably get as little as a couple of lines then anyways. chaewon’s favourite parts of adios’ dance are the first verse and the dance break. she thinks they’re the most attention grabbing parts of the song, and she can’t help watching herself more than yerin in the mirror for those few seconds. 

the song ends, and chaewon drops out of the final pose and flicks her hair back over her shoulder as she catches her breath. “how are you feeling? are you ready to go again - at half speed, like i said.” all of that seriousness and fierceness chaewon tried to embody while dancing is gone, and she’s back to normal, all smiles and concern as she turns to yerin.

it’s nerve wracking, to be honest. chaewon thought about whether she wanted to enter with someone, or whether she wanted to go in alone. maybe if jaehwa was competing, then chaewon would go in with someone, but as it stood, as close as she was with other girls, like yujin, even himeko, chaewon ultimately had to decide to make her entrance alone. maybe she’d seem strong, independent, cool, and make a good first impression on the audience. after all, first impressions are everything, aren’t they?

chaewon’s dressed simply, in a dark grey denim skirt with a white, knitted off the shoulder jumper tucked into it. she’s accessorized it with a black beret, and finished off the outfit with a pair of black ankle boots. it’s important to chaewon that she looks her best. she can’t believe she’s actually going to be on television. appearances are more important now than ever.

with a deep breath, chaewon follows the directions of the staff member who’s leading her to the studio and steps in, eyes closed. she doesn’t know what she expects to see when she opens her eyes, but it certainly isn’t what she’s faced with. chaewon almost loses her footing at the sight of the pyramids in front of her, and she can’t help letting out a little “wow” at them. then, she’s pulled out of her fascination and given her task; find your seat, find your ranking. chaewon swallows the lump in her throat, steadies herself as best she can, and approaches the girls’ pyramid. 

it doesn’t take long for chaewon to find her seat at all. rank ten. it’s not high, but it could be lower, she reminds herself. looking up at the girls sitting above her, chaewon quickly concedes to the fact that it’s probably fair. and yet, there’s still a bitter taste in her mouth. she keeps her trap shut, attempting to maintain a neutral expression as she watches the rest of the competitors file in. she can only hope she hasn’t made any expressions the editors can use to her disadvantage.

how do you feel about your rank?

“i don’t want to question the company.” chaewon says, reassuringly nodding at the camera. who she’s reassuring, is up to the viewers ... or the editors. “and ultimately, i agree with them. in comparison to the other girls up there, i’m still only starting my journey. i’ve only been here for the last year and a half. the others deserve the higher ranks more than i do, but,” ah, and there’s the but; the reason for the way she opened her answer. “but i believe i’m also worth more, and i hope i can prove that to the public and the company.”

which rank do you think you should have been?

“maybe a little higher?” chaewon hums, lips pursed thoughtfully. it’s a good continuation from the last question. “like i said, i don’t think i necessarily deserve anything especially high like the senior trainees of the company, but maybe rank 7 or 8, rather than 10.”

        ♡ for @lgcyerinx / future dreams week 4, preparation process + choreography practice.

it’s nice to feel useful. chaewon offered to help yerin with the choreography for adios, latata and bim bam bum - the chances of yerin being switched to bim bam bum were slim, in chaewon’s opinion, but it never hurt to be prepared. maybe they’ll even go over dalla dalla if they have the time. her motivations had been mostly pure at the time, but that damn pyramid keeps entering her mind, with yerin sitting halfway up it, and chaewon down at the bottom, looking up at her. it’s nice to feel useful, but it’s even nicer to prove that chaewon being that low down at the first ranking was a mistake.

not that yerin should have been any lower, god no. chaewon wouldn’t take that away from her. she’s been in the legacy dungeon long enough.

sitting on the floor, chaewon reaches out to her adidas running shoes to tie her laces, tongue cutely poking out between her teeth. then she sits back, and crosses her legs, giving yerin a kind look. “are you good to go? i was thinking we could start with adios.” 

when she gets the go ahead, chaewon clambers to her feet and queues up the demo track they’ve been working with for the last few weeks. the choreography is fun and powerful, and so different to chaewon’s chosen solo song - oh my girl’s cupid. this will be a good opportunity to show the viewers that bae chaewon can pull off cute concepts and strong concepts. oh, and of course, she’s getting to spend time with yerin. she doesn’t get to train with her at all normally, so it’s nice to get to work with her today.

“ready? 5 ... 6 ... 7 .. 8!”

how confident are you in the choreography?

“very!” chaewon says with an assuring nod. “dance is my first love, so learning choreography comes naturally to me. it’s been a real blessing, actually, to get to do something i really love and something i’m confident in. it’s allowed me to focus on the skills i’m less strong in, like singing. as well, if i can use my confidence to help others, like yerin, i think that’s really good. we haven’t ever gotten to train before, because she’s my senior, so i was really happy and excited to help her with the choreography.”

what do you think of the different songs?

chaewon hums, lips pursed, as she thinks about it. “i really like adios. i think it’s very strong, and the chorus and dance are really addicting, so i think the audience will really like it too. bim bam bum is a very pretty song, if you know what i mean. bim bam bum and dalla dalla are tied for my favourite at the moment.”
