yesterday went on an outing with local students and told one of them my name (jasmine, like the disney pricess) and she was like 「インド人ですか」 and i tried so hard not to laugh as i explained that no 🙏 just because i am tan doesnt mean i am south asian but also apparently i am being confused for the actual indian girl in my study abroad cohort cuz they nicknamed her jasmine (as in the princess).... u see two brown girls and automatically confuse the two i am dying
