People don’t understand what rights are and that is so sad. I promise you, animals don’t need rights. They are not human beings. They are not humans, that’s just a fact! They have no concept of any of this shit and that’s FINE! We ensure we give them good lives while they’re here and that’s great. That’s what we should do!

This inability to accept that, as all animals are different from each other as species, admitting human animals are simply different from our non-human kin is NOT bad is ridiculous! We are the only species who twist ourselves in stupid cognitive knots over bullshit like “well, is it moral to keep myself alive by doing something that things do to live?” and I think that makes non human animals better off than us, honestly. We’re the ones suffering, they get to live it up being taken care of by us.

We can acknowledge animals are valuable in their own capacities to be smart or dumb/have relationships with out living creatures/have personalities/be individuals as ANIMALS without humanizing them which is the real gag with me about ARA types…It’s like whether they know it or not, their rhetoric always boils down to a “well animals are good because they’re the exact same as humans, the same, no difference!!!” which is not only factually untrue but also, it’s just a bunch of projection!

Animals are incapable of the kinds of abstract thinking we do and even in animals like whales or apes there’s no reason to think their abstract thought is analogous to ours because they aren’t human and thus don’t experience things as we do. And that isn’t a bad thing at all! It’s all valuable.

People don’t take the effort to attempt to THINK like an animal for all the whining about empathy, they rather pretend animals work from a human standpoint which is a detriment and a core failure of animal rights.

I think you should try to lead a good life. To lead a happy life. To do good deeds, and to find a life you can be proud of. But you don’t need to force the absolute highest possible achievement out of yourself. You don’t need to live your entire life without making any mistakes, or missing any opportunities. You are allowed to take it easy sometimes. You are allowed to be human. 

Maybe you have made some big mistakes that got you “off track” in a major way. That’s ok! It doesn’t mean you wasted your life. Maybe you aren’t doing as much as you possibly could each day. That’s ok too! There is no score in life. There is no one best path. You are enough, I promise <3
