Kiss The Villain. Analyse and Theories.

It took me several days to finally put my thoughts together, let's say my mind was wild after I read the Blurb.( Because yeah I'm a drama queen who needs to overreact over the things I love.)

And thanks to that I'm back with new theories and analysis that literally blow up my mind 🤯. So welcome back the Sherlock Holmes within me, because I have a lot of things to share. 

And I still don't know where to begin. 

First things first. Our Gareth Carson. ( So far he's my favourite character. In the LOG series.)

Analysing the Blurb:

The Blurb begins with him describing himself on how people see him and what he shows them. 

The perfect golden boy image, the dutiful son who tries his best to make his parents happy. The heir to the Carson empire. Which means he has obligations and duties and can't act as he pleases. The description I like the best is a genius law student. I don't know if that means he's a genius in nature or just in Law. We will discover that later.

He keeps his pulses in check, and rarely indulges in mayhem. In the beginning I was wondering why he was faking his dislike to violence, now I think I have a clear image why.

And that is because he knows if he indulges in violence he might lose control and all what he keeps hidden will be shown and will have a hard time to control it afterwards. That's why he doesn't want to be tempted and to stay as far as possible from them.

That's why he has a secret life, away from the heathens, Killian and everyone who might know him. For now we don't know exactly what his secret life is yet. But I can say it's something big that can destroy his image. 

"Until one night of debauchery backfires."

I'm sure the book will start on that specific night, where Gareth was having another random night, enjoying himself without worrying about what he's supposed to be or his image, that is until something happens that changes everything. 

I don't know if I'm overthinking but Gareth basically said,

"and I'm caught by a villain." 

He didn't say found, or met, but Caught. Like he was running or hiding from something he saw or listened to and was caught by Kayden. 

Gareth is perhaps used to this kind of unexpected situation or risks, that's why he apparently has a whole collection of skulls. He described the whole night as "Ordeal" which means Kayden made him see hell that night. But he had to bury it for his own sake. 

Also he described Kayden as "a criminal who teaches criminal law." 

A criminal. Whatever Kayden did that night was dangerous, illegal, and not something you can ignore, whatever killing or something else.

 I don't think he would've used that word if it was something that only involved him. Even if it was a part of it. 

I feel like two things happened that night, one Kayden did some illegal shit, and two once he caught Gareth he did something to him too. ( Which I think is pretty obvious what it was 😉🥵.) that's why he said he can't expose him without unmasking his secret life. 

That's why he's making Kayden pay by making him taste the poison he gave to Gareth.

Now, it's Theory time: 

Okay so, now I really think that Vaughn isn't Gareth's best friend. He's still a possibility but not a high one or my first choice anymore. Because whatever Gareth's secret life is, it feels like he doesn't want anyone in his close circle to know about it. Plus Vaughn lives in States. And comes by only on the initiations. That's all. 

In Gareth's situation I feel like his best friend is someone who is by his side, who helps him keep his secret, and also is a part of it. For some reasons I think it's that Snake freak Rina spoke about, or the two wild characters that she might start a whole MM series because of them. That is why Kiss The Villain might be the beginning of that series. Because they are a part of it. 

Rina is making sure to keep his best friend as mysterious as possible. If it was really Vaughn, I don't think she would've been this secretive. I feel like if she says who he is, it might spoil us or maybe we don't even know him yet. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've officially introduced the characters of the serpents. Since they are as mysterious as the Heathens.)

What I'm more curious about is Gareth's personality; he's doing his best to hide it from everyone, and he's succeeding very well, even Killian didn't discover it. Yet.

I think Gareth might have some sociopath traits, but that remains to be seen. What interests me most is if his secret life is a part of his personality, or just a rebellious phase. With how he always needs to keep his golden boy image, dealing with Killian for all his life and Asher. I think that a part of him didn't want his parents to have more troubles. That's why he unconsciously began to rebelle, to feel alive, without disappointing or worrying anyone.

For now I think it's his real personality, who he really is, although we don't know what he does for fun. But I'm sure it's illegal shit. Or unexpected, something that can really ruin everything in his life. Maybe even his relationship with his parents. 

My biggest theory is Kayden did everything on purpose, he planned their first from head to toe, that's why.

"A monster who lured me in,

only to trap me in a lethal game with no escape."

Whatever happened Kayden made sure that Gareth would be there. Maybe he already stalked and discovered what Gareth hides, that's why he chose that night for their first meeting. Because he knew Gareth was there, and had the perfect opportunity to trap him and have him.

Then he surprised him when he walked into his classroom. I really sense that Kayden knew that Gareth would be in his class, and I don't think he didn't know. 

I feel like Kayden read Gareth's plan and he took advantage of Gareth's revenge and trapped him in a lethal game with no escape. Since he knows Gareth won't risk saying anything. 

That's why Gareth hates him so much, but they aren't enemies, if they were Rina would've said enemies to lovers, not Hate to love. That's what surprised me the most, because if Kayden is a serpent that makes him Gareth's enemy.

I shouldn't take everything word by word, I just believe that Rina chose every word carefully. It's not a coincidence.

Their intensity will be the death of me, I can feel it and I can't wait for it! It's already killing me, just imagine when the book will be out. I'm so impatient for their story, and I really hope Rina will release more teasers, and more pet names. to keep us company until the release date. Because we still have 42 days.

Little monster did the trick and knocked us up for a while, and I don't think any of us moved on yet.

I can't wait for the narrators reveal. Since we will have a small scene of the book, I know it will kill me and I will have to heal from it. But after that we will have a whole month waiting for the book, it's going to be the longest month of our lives.

Killian: I have a place in mind.

Killain: *Drops Kayden off at an old age home*

Killian: gripping a knife I hate him so much.

Glyndon whispering to Reina: This is better than TV.

Astrid: Has anyone seen my son Brandon?

Astrid: Brown hair, blue eyes, always really quiet?

Astrid: Clearly gay but we haven't had the talk yet...

Asher: Why did you pick him, Gaz?

Gareth: Have you seen his face?

Killian: You mean the face I want to punch?
