A good scare, who didn't love the adrenaline rush? Something the young woman couldn't comprehend. It was exhilarating. Alas, she was brought back to reality at the woman's concerns. Would someone truly be so riddled with fear that they did something so chaotically stupid? Perhaps. "Please tell me nobody is that dumb?" A scoff followed. "No, scrap that, they one hundred percent are." A laugh filling the air as she realised her brief moment of naivety. "You not a fan of the scare tactics of Halloween then?" Leo questioned. "'Cause personally, this is the time to come alive. Ironically enough, given the morbid nature of the holiday." Not to mention the disturbing costumes and movies that usually involve a lot of blood, death, and all the things alike. "Give me a drink, and the rush of fear, and I'm set." That's all it took for this particular event for her.

"Okay but why is it...a boat for the tunnel of horrors? I feel like that's an accident waiting to happen," Elena shook her head before glancing at the woman who was standing around near her. "Because c'mon...what if you get so scared that you end up jumping out of the boat? It's ridiculous..." Elena glanced around though at the line that continued to grow behind and gave the other a grin, "but I suppose that's why we're here huh--to do all the ridiculous things in the name of Halloween?"

Leo had never particularly been a fan of the Twilight saga, both in literary and movie form. Now, Dracula? Far more her speed. Van Helsing? Again, sign her up. But, sparkly men who are 'spider monkeys', not so much. "Easy." The brunette announced confidently. "Riddles, hands down." A smirk followed, before she continued. "There's no way I could stand there and quote Bella Swan, and actually take myself seriously." But hey, that was just her. "You a fan then?"

"Since I've seen so many vampire costumes, it made me think of twilight. So, Would you rather only be able to speak in Twilight movie quotes or only be able to speak in riddles?"

perhaps this is a silly question, re: the deviant art template you were kind enough to share, but how did you unlock the layers to change the background color from green to black? so sorry to bother you!
no problem at all, it's probably easier to just message me, rather than clog the dash with anything non-roleplay related! :)

"We're definitely venturing into Bond Girl Villain territory, I think, actually." Something she was positive the blonde could pull off, given that Halloween was fast approaching. "Reckon we just stick to the oversized blazer and call it a day." Especially given the alternative. Not to mention, the latex dress hypothetical they'd discussed. Thankfully, the dress was rapidly put down, and Leo wouldn't be forced to throw baby powder at the woman anytime soon, she'd instead leave that up to her sister. Nonetheless, she couldn't help but follow suit with the immediate and constant chuckling. "Not really, but that's not surprising. I find I'm not the fashion, make-up girly girl. Put me in some jeans and some converse and I'm good to go." But, that didn't mean she wouldn't partake in the more enticing outfits when the occassion called for it. "So, honestly? Your best bet, to keep me engaged, is definitely something for Cece." Otherwise she was sure she'd zone out half way through. "It's gonna start to get colder soon, reckon some cute winter boots or something?" A shrug followed, before she continued. "How are you doing with the family dynamic?"
Her head canted, a low hum of contemplation in her throat as she eyed the skirt. "Would it be cute with a beige oversized blazer? Can I do a leather trench over it? Or have we now ventured too far into The Spy Next Door?" Just because it was for work didn't dismiss the fact it had to be chic, still. "Maybe I'll do it just for the entertainment. Halloween is coming up. We'll need lots of baby powder, though." There's no stopping her laughter, no matter how hard she attempted to stay serious in the moment. An image of the many people it would take to get her into a latex dress crossed her mind but it’s pushed aside as she set the skirt down and looked around the store. "Did you find anything you liked? Oh! Should we find Cece something? Or, wanna go to the beauty department? New makeup is always fun."

It took far less convincing than she'd anticipated. There was a part of her that half expected him to roll over, and take the 'L', not wanting to partake in the game under his rules. Alas, it looked like she was about to learn a lot more about him than she'd ever been willing to before. "That's a risk you're going to have to take, my friend." Honestly? She wouldn't use someone's trauma against them, but where was the fun in admitting that? This way, she held the power under a guise of mystery and sass. Her favourite hobby, to be honest. "So, what do you say?" A shrug followed, before she leaned in, arching her brow to tempt him further into their little charade. "You up for some hard truths, Pretty Boy?"
"Damn shame, you should really get that checked out then." He tossed back, arching his brow at her honesty, "Oh?" He hadn't expected that, although, he, himself didn't particularly want bullshit small talk either. Something was eating at him and he saw no better way then this right now. "And here I thought I would have to do more to convince you. But fine, bet." He chuckled and shook his head, "Clearly not." He shifted in his seat, tilting his head slightly to the side, "I just want to be clear, are you offering to be my free shrink? Or are you going to use this info against me later?" Either way, he was joking and didn't care all like that. But he wanted to see how far he could push.

"Do you understand sarcasm?" The brunette questioned, a hint of amusement present as she did so, wondering how he hadn't picked up on as much in her earlier suggestion for 'trick or treating'. "I had a feeling you weren't really going to be trailing the streets for candy. But, thanks for clarifying." Again, allowing the humour to hint ever so slightly, as she smirked at her company. "But, I'll give you credit where credits due. You're one of the few actually concerned about the potential shit storm this could cause." Maybe it was just common sense? But then again, if that was the case, there was a handful without it that she'd bumped into thus far. All of whom were basking in the Halloween glory, desperate to get into their fancy dress glad rags and hit the town.
it did feel like some cheesy horror movie, that's for sure but unfortunately, it was their reality. it was just weird to him that everyone seemed to be brushing all of this off. he assumed people would be more afraid when it came to what was happening around wilmington. "i'm entirely too old to trick or treat. i don't believe anyone would give me any candy even if i did ring a doorbell and hold a bag out. so, you can count me out for more than one reason."

Well, she had a fair point there. "Okay, valid." Paired with the white blazer, it would probably be a little too much. As she said, particularly bridal. "Scrap the white then." A smirk following suit, as they digressed onto the hilarity that was the outfits shown on Selling Sunset. "Get the suit in a hot pink, and at least you're a more tame version of that outfit." And hey, it didn't sound disgusting, at least. "You step foot anywhere in a latex dress, and you can bet your ass I'll be there ready with my camera." Folding purse and all. There was no way Leo would let the blonde live that one down. "Though, a part of me wants you to get the purse, just for shits and giggles. Or that basketball one." Another ridiculous option, and the fact that it wasn't even functional from what she could recall. "Okay, anything else catching your eye at least?"
A smirk was quick to curve onto Ava's lips, in sync with Leonella's own. Oh, this would most certainly be fun. At least she'd married into a family with humor. "I don't hate that," she noted. A hint of teasing held in her tone before her attention shifted back to the rack of skirts. The white one in reference was now brought into her hands as she gazed around for a matching blazer. "Very pure. Is white too like bridal?" The last thing she needed was to draw attention to the makeshift wedding she'd just had. "Ouu, you think I could get that 75 million dollar house sold if I showed up in platform Versace heels and a neon pink latex dress? Can’t forget the folding chair purse."

"Well, you know what she's like. This is a big deal to her." And with that, came the extravagance, apparently. A large desire to show everyone around them how much she loved this man, the father of her eldest daughter. "She gets a second shot at being with the father of one of her daughters." Even Leo could appreciate the importance of that. "Maybe we should weigh in, and try and navigate through this as painlessly as possible?" A small laugh following, knowing that there was still some bits to take care of before the big day, and the girls were definitely going to become a saving grace with regards to preparations. "What's she stuck between, anyway?" The younger sibling asked curiously. Head shifting slightly as she felt Cami nudge her in jest, smiling reassuringly at her as she did so. "You know me, we plod along." A shrug emerging thereafter. "How you getting on anyway? How's Amos and co-parenting?" A more recent development over the last few months, something she was sure was a drastic change of pace. "Bumped into him the other day, so neither of them have murdered the other, so there's that?"
"Me too." Cami responded, looking up at the night sky. Memories of them growing up came rushing back and it left a rather pleasant feeling in her chest. She laughed and shook her head, "Of course she is." She replied, "If I didn't know better, I'd think this was some royal wedding." Not that their mom didn't deserve that, she did. It was just insane to watch nonetheless. "She can't seen to stay decided on the flowers... as if the wedding is in less than two months." Cami softy bumped her shoulder into her sisters, "How are you doing, Leo? Everything okay?"

"Unfortunately, I've become blind in the last five minutes." A smirk following only a second or two later. "Honestly?" She questioned, hypothetically, of course. "If it's going to be some bullshit answers, or stupid small talk versions of this game, no, I'm not interested." That was never her forte, unfortunately. "You should know that I don't care for that." Now, give her an insightful conversation, or something to keep her entertained, then sure, she'd indulge. But, Leo had never been the most people-oriented of people. "Oh, babe, you don't know the half of it." There wasn't a chance in hell she was one to follow suit, or shadow someone else in any aspect in life. So, she'd give him that. He was right on the money. "So, tell me about the worst moment of your life." Go big or go home, right?
"I'd say it's a true lost, in that case." He responded, "I mean, have you seen me? Why wouldn't you want to pick my brain? It's clear it's full of wonders." His words were obviously a joke, as his head was more a dark place then not nowadays. "This is your generous mood?" He arched a brow, "Damn, I'd hate to see you in a bad one. You going to ask the first question? Or am I to lead this whole thing? You look like a girl who likes to take charge."

As anyone would've expected, given his comment, Leo immediately rolled her eyes. "Please." The brunette responded sarcastically. "Don't make me regret calling you over here." A smirk soon followed, indicated she was mostly messing with him. Though, if he really did wanna test her stubborn nature, well, she may very well follow through with the threat. But, despite that, she followed through on his request, the bartender making her way over to the empty glasses as she began to fulfil his order. "Don't push it." Was he right, though? "Don't start calling me 'sis' or something, otherwise I'll have to start swinging." She had a sister, after all, and unless he was about to wed her, that term was reserved only for Cami. "But, I guess in some weird way, sure. Father to my niece." A nod followed, almost reassuring herself that seemed about right. It was a new dynamic, after all. With the drink sliding over to him, she rested her arms against the bar beneath her, continuing on her point a moment earlier. "How's that going for you, anyway? She's still alive, so I'll give you that. Or, her survival instincts are impeccable when you spend time together." Again, messing with him, of course.
Amos plopped down on the stool in front of her, a small smirk on his face. "I knew you missed me." He joked, although there was less playfulness and openness than there once had been. It wasn't that they couldn't have fun anymore or anything, but now Amos was the father of her sister's daughter and things were, well, their dynamic would change no matter what. Amos thanked his lucky stars though, that, at least, Leo was one of the women that he'd never slept with no matter how drunk they both normally were when they hung out together. "Yeah, I haven't been drinking a lot recently." The blonde admitted with a small shrug. "Scotch on the rocks, as usual, please." He chuckled as he looked back at her, scrunching up his nose playfully. "Does this mean we're, like, related now?"

"It's giving 'I'll open my legs, if you open your wallet'. But hey, who doesn't love a marketing strategy?" A smirk followed, mostly messing with the blonde, unable to help herself. Granted, she was still getting accustomed to the fact that things had taken a shift for her sister, but she seemed happy, and ultimately that's all that mattered. That, and her niece, of course. "What about the white one?" The brunette suggested, jutting her head towards the same item of clothing in a more understated colour, considering it was for a professional matter. "Or, if you wanna go all Selling Sunset, I suggest anything with huge shoulder pads, your ass hanging, or shoes that look like you're unable to walk." But, she knew Ava better than that. Didn't mean the idea wasn't amusing at the very least.
WHO: @leonellamoreno WHERE: waterworks mall
Shopping made for the perfect distraction from everything occurring in the city–it’s how Ava found herself pulling Leonella along with her to peruse amongst the endless stores. Looking to add a few new pieces to her professional wardrobe, a few hangers already draped over her arm as she skimmed through the selection of skirts. “Okay, do we hate this?” Ava questioned suddenly, gaze still on the clothing before she plucked one from the rack and turned to the brunette across from her. Or should she say, her new sister in law? Now that was a peculiar thing to say. "Is it giving absolutely put your millions of dollars into buying this expensive Carriage Falls estate from my client or is it too... Dubai beach club?"

"This all feels very Scream, if you ask me." An eyeroll followed, wondering why people weren't a little more concerned, but then again, someone was behind bars, right? "I'm just waiting for someone to call me to ask if I like scary movies." Not that she was making light of the situation, it was just how she coped. Humour. "So, should I take this as you're not going trick or treating, huh?" A smirk followed, of course not particularly expecting the grown man to be running around door to door, asking for candy. '"Cause here I was, waiting to see you with that little pumpkin bag saying 'trick or treat'."
OPEN.
"you know," the therapist started, "most of the time i would be looking forward to halloween but a part of me is thinking that the psycho going around wilmington and taking people is going to use the whole costume thing to their advantage." pearce wasn't normally so serious unless he was at work but people were genuinely getting hurt and he was concerned as to what was going to happen to a place he considered home. "i just think everyone should consider how much of a bad idea it is with everything going on. i know everyone has that mindset that it couldn't possibly happen to them but it very well could. it could happen to anyone."

Eyes immediately darted to the newfound company, squinting ever so slightly as he rambled on about some kind of question game he wanted her to join in on. "And, what if I don't want to pick your brain a little?" Leo teased, smirking as he continued on about this so called 'twenty questions'. "Maybe I already know all I need to?" Probably not, but, she couldn't help herself. But, evidently he was looking for whatever kind of distraction he could get his hands on, that much was clear, given his choice of audience. Surely there were those better suited? Regardless, she'd entertain him for a moment or two. "Fine. You've caught me in a generous mood, Jay."
OPEN
LOCATION: Anywhere really
"So --" Jayden began, plopping down into the seat next to them. Something about his features looked-- happy? But to look at him closer was to see that he was a man on the edge. The smile on his face was forced, the way his knee began to shake up and down at an alarming rate, said something was on his mind. "-- lets play a game, collect a little hat of answers." He suggested, "Gonna be kind of like twenty questions, lets pick each other's minds a little." There was a challenge in there, something that if someone didn't know him well would just pushed off as him being himself. Only, he was on a count down to losing his entire damn mind. "You down? Open book. Can ask anything."

It was pretty normal these days to spend hours on end having deep discussions about the pending nuptials of her mother, and her fiancé; Cami's biological father. But there was only so much talk about flower arrangements and place mats she could take, before needing to take a breather. Leo was never really one for the flouncy love festivities, but of course she did her best for her mother. She always would. Before long, it seemed as though her tracker had pinged, her elder sister managing to track her down, quickly taking a pew beside her. "Just needed some fresh air." She was quick to respond. "Always loved it out here." A usual for the pair back in the day. "She still in full-swing love-mode?" An appreciative smirk crossing her features, sort of enjoying how happy her mom seemed these days. Finally finding the relationship she deserved.
TO: @leonellamoreno
LOCATION: Rooftop of Momma Moreno's home.
After a long winded discussion with her parents about their upcoming wedding, Cami found she needed some sister time. When she didn't find her downstairs, or in her old room; Cami's next thought was her old room. Entering, her eyes immediately fell upon the open window that led to the rooftop outside. A small smile graced her features as she popped her head through the opening and saw her younger sister sitting there. "I hope you have room for one more." She mused as she climbed out of the window, planting herself beside her sister. She glanced up at the sky to see it full with beautiful shinning stars. "It's always so beautiful out here." Cami stated, glancing back at her sister, "You okay?"
