I feel the same way…. I almost get no attention when it comes to my ocs and it’s genuinely demotivating. I love my boys, but when it comes to a specific fandom of a fanart I post then suddenly it gets so much attention, especially on Twitter/X. Social media’s algorithm is always unhelpful

However, I love your ocs! I always get excited when a new post from you comes and it’s your two boys!! Danya and Svyat are very enjoyable to me, both on artworks and your webtoon. Their dynamic always amuses me and I love how you draw your panels. I do hope regardless, you will continue to draw your ocs despite feeling demotivated by the algorithm

twitter algorithm is just insane tbh... i feel like i was shadowbanned and somehow few of my post got out there all of the sudden. on tumblr it's not like there is any algorithm as far as i remember, people just don't search oc tags as much as they engage with fandom tags i assume? ... and thank you!! im happy you enjoy my work with the dummies i have a bit of imposter syndrome when it comes to any comics specifics so im relieved that the way i draw panels impresses you <3

Do your characters use Telegram?

Yes I was so lazy to draw the chat design last time that I just screenshotted my own chats

Though in ciprinus world that would be not exactly telegram but something similar, we should think of some funny name for it

Where does the inspiration title of Ciprinus come from?? What country does it take place in??

it's inspired by my country mostly and the city has a little resemblance with Montpellier (in my head. there is literally nothing similar except both having sea somewhere close that you can access on tram). also the street around the lab and where jana's coffeshop is located is inspired by pyatigorsk's street(one partcular, i even looked it up in google maps). svyat's lab is inspired by my aunt's lab (my aunt works in lab but it's like straight from 2000s or maybe even 80s, svyat's workplace is a little more advanced) ciprinus takes place in fictional country. it's something eastern european but there isn't really native race and a lot of immigrants from different countries and lots of poc

What kind of stuffs do you sell when it comes to your artworks? Like example prints, keychains, etc. Been wanting to sell my artworks for future conventions like my ocs, some fanarts, and have never tried it before, yet I don’t know where to start or what to sell to feel like I have enough to gain interests

For starters I think it’s best to sell something that is cheap to print, but it varies for countries. For instance in my country the cheapest to print are well, prints, postcards, and simple stickers (shiny or holographic cost more). You can try making preorders before printing so you can see what people are willing to buy.

I personally sell acrylic charms and stands, different types of stickers, prints, pins (not enamel but simple ones, sometimes with funky shiny parts) and transparent plastic bookmarks or cards
