true story! before wealthyhq was wealthyhq it was basilomg or paprika or some other shitty spice.. idk. anyways the mun was running the rp off their character account which is like whatevs, i can get down with that. so i joined. yeah, even thought i may not be active on here, i’m still active in the rpc and can be found joining rps and shit. so i join and go about my business. like i don’t have the luxury of sitting around on a computer all day, seven days a week???? if you do, you’re living the dream. so yeah– i joined, reblogged some muse shit and periodically checked in on the main every now and then while waiting for opening day. one day i left for work as you do and didn’t check on the rp bc…… i….was….at….work??? i come back and i’ve been kicked out of the rp because the admin wasn’t getting the attention she wanted and thought it’d be better to go to a 3x3 and because i wasn’t “live” (whatever that means - that’s the wording used in the ims idk) my ass got booted. which is a thing admins do, i guess. that left a very bad taste in my mouth. maybe i’m too sensitive (and that’s a real possibility, my feelings legit get hurt all the time in the rpc) or whatever but i didn’t like that. so while i actually like the premise of wealthyhq and probably would have rec’d it under different circumstances, my past experience with the admin makes me unwilling to even review it.

too many to count holy shit!!!! sel has been one of the most popular, overused fcs since i started rping in like 2009 so i’ve been blessed with some awesome and some terrible run-ins with her. the one that stands out the most was actually a couple months ago?? i honestly forget what the rp was but this selena… oh my god. kill me. let me preface this by saying: i fucking love problematic characters. i love assholes and self-centered narcissists however i love them when they’re done right. one dimensional bitches are no fun. and this character was so damn nasty!! and for no god damn reason. like i swear to god there was no thought put into her, like she had not one single redeeming quality. it was just insult after insults, vulgarity after vulgarity and i’m just sitting there like, who told you this was a good idea?? the mun herself was kinda miserable too and only wanted to plot with the males but even then her character was a lil shit to everyone besides the dylan o’brien character who they had this really forced ship with. it was just so un-organic and happened out of nowhere. i just hated everything about it ugh…

first of all i love that this is based on the great gatsby!! that is one of my all time favorite books and for nostalgia reasons alone i’m tempted to join. but let me shut up and actually say something productive!! the aesthetics are fine. i find that the pink/red/whatever colored tags are a lil hard to read so i would recommend just choosing something a little darker - actually same thing for the white text. also, i noticed when i click on the navigation the actual pop up is pretty low and i can’t see all the links. that could be just my browser, though. but still maybe searching for a more universal theme might be a good idea? idk! other than that there’s really not much to say!! the graphics are appealing to my eyeballs for the most part, i like the plot but i’m not like wowed??? i think this would have been all kinds of knock my socks off amazing if done as a skeleton/bio rp!! just to give it a little oomph!! but as it stands now, while i do genuinely like the rp, i don’t think it’ll be getting a rec from me tonight.

sure baby!! uhm so usually i rly dig things that throw me back to the good old days aka tumblr circa 2k12 but i’m not feeling ur aesthetics for some reason. i think my disdain for banner themes has grown too strong and i can no longer ignore it!! so yeah, i’m not feeling that too much. as for ur plot, there’s not much for me to actually comment on. like it’s town rp set in nyc which isn’t all that interesting buuuut we all know i am trAsh for a good town rp and i really really really like that urs is a bio rp. we really just don’t see enough of those nowadays anyway and then with a plot like urs that so many people do, it’s a chance to shne and stand out. so yay!! but i’m a lil confused on ur bios?? i’ll be honest i didn’t go through all of them but i did skim a couple listed as most wanted and?? idk i’m not all that impressed. first, there a little too lengthy. i think there’s a fine line between educating the applicant on the character and deciding on too much and taking away some of the applicant’s creativity - on a few characters, i’d say that line has been crossed. then i saw some characters have like one connection while others have six. i don’t know if those are specifically the admins characters ( no offense, i just see a lot of the times admins giving the best characters w/ the most romantic connections ) to themselves. it’d be nice to see an even distribution of connections and maybe staying away from anything love or sex based. there are so many awesome platonic things you can do!! also sidenote: avan jogia is of gujarati indian descent and his name should reflect that. you should really do a bit of research in what names ur giving ur characters because whitewashing isa thing!! so yeah, i can’t say this’ll be getting a rec from me tonigh… just too many things i’m a lil iffy on. but hey, you guys have been open for two years so you must be doing something right. i hope that success continues for you
