that Damon & Diana represent logos and pathos respectively has been well established at this point, but Desmond representing ethos is a subtler point that i would like to propose to complete the triangle! i alluded to it in my essay on Desmond & Eloise, and will write a more fleshed out essay on this in the future, but the crux of it is how invested Desmond’s character is in asserting what his values are and using that as a defence. similarly to Diana’s pathos affecting Damon, we see Desmond’s ethos affecting him both in his FTEs & certain routes in the trial 𖤐.ᐟ
