Ok.
Book cases are done.
Rage Purchase is made. I picked my favorite outfit bits and went with whichever doll had them, but limited myself to $100.
Big Spidey evicted.
need to…..
I guess general cleaning today. The house is a disaster of mess and dust because I’ve been depressed and no one else cleans. Son used to. That Guy ruined it.

Doll updates:
Frankie Pink was missing something, I didn’t know what until I stuck a star on her forehead and suddenly she came together. She’s not perfect but i’m not gonna charge more than a few euros so =p
I popped the wrong coloured spray painted body in some white spirit (paint thinner) with the intention of coming back in five minutes aaaaand then forgot to come back for several hours. The hard plastic was cracking just from moving it so I slid a spudger in the seam (yeah I finally got a real metal one instead of using butter knives) and cracked open the torso then sliced out the joints from the harder vinyl which was stained like dye in the original marbling of the plastic, it all needs some cleaning and the feet are oddly angled to begin with but someone might find the hands useful. Going in the Just Pay Postage box along with some vinyl bits I kept for making washers and necks and whatnot.
Got these cool unbranded bodies with some coloured marbling in the limbs from aliexpress (same store that has the heads) in the hopes of making/keeping a Licca for myself sometime, another thing to put on the projects pile!

Full guide here.
You guys have asked for a dye guide and here it is! We used Rit DyeMore fabric dye, Rit’s line for polyester/synthetic materials (not to be confused with just Rit Dye). It is far more pigmented as a wig toner than their standard blends since it was developed for plastics.
Swatches were made using our Classic White wefts (keep in mind that if you’re dyeing a wig other than white, the dye will not cancel out the original color but mix with it. ex: If you dye a yellow wig with blue dye, you will get a green wig).
300 mL (1.3 cups) of water was used with 19.7 mL (4 tsp) of dye. Water was kept at a LIGHT SIMMER (180F/82C), NOT rolling boil (212F/100C). Color took more evenly when water was at a simmer.
Individual swatches were placed in the simmering water at 1 second, 5 seconds, 1 minute, and 5 minutes.
Colors may turn out differently for you depending on concentration of dye, heat, time boiled, and how the wig gods are feeling that day.
It’s important to ALWAYS do swatch tests before dying your full wig. In addition, in the event that your fibers become curly after dyeing them, please use a regular flat iron (avoid chi irons) on low heat setting to straighten them.
Happy dyeing!

Hey, ever wanted a plus size doll? Now’s your chance.
Listen up yall because I have Some Shit to talk about.
As a plus size person, I’m fairly aware that walking into a toy store, there will be almost no representation of plus size people, but this recent campaign came up where these two amazing women are creating plus size dolls with POC representation and their Kickstarter just went live! They have an amazing idea that deserves to be recognised.
youtube
Their kickstarter campaign lists four dolls: Keiko, a smart Japanese girl who’s a robotics engineer, Quinn, a white mechanic who fixes cars, Aliah, an African woman who runs an animal sanctuary and Alex, a Mexican civil rights lawyer student. The co-founders created these dolls because of how Bridget wanted her daughter to see true representation in a world where “thin and skinny” is deemed as the perfect example of life. The dolls are fully articulated, and the most recent prototype looks like this!
The Kickstarter offers both regular and premium dolls as well as dolls that are only for customising, too so there’s something for every toy collector or doll customiser who’s looking for more diverse representation of bodies. These dolls are looking to be absolutely gorgeous, plus they support LGBTQIA+ people too!
They have a tumblr account here at at @curvygirlsdolls as well as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!
Here is what they’re advertising for regular dolls!
These are their premium dolls with extra outfits, accessories and beautifully designed concepts!
Please check them out, this is such an amazing step in body diversity in dolls and they’re fully articulated and beautifully designed. More information about their design can be found on their Kickstarter!
Their Kickstarter has 29 days to raise 250,000! They can be found here.

I am in the middle of drawing up a simple pattern for a Japanese Yukata while watching Crazy Rich Asians. I like the idea of making a Kimono but the fabric I'd want to use I'd like to be mildly authentic. But I raised my mother's linen fabric and found some that would look beautiful on the Licca Chan,
I'll definitely be making it out of the cherry blossoms first. But all are good candidates
I'm using this Licca Chan doll as main inspo just for reference purposes mainly. Anyway. Keep you posted
