5 Positive Habits that will change your life.
My, I missed doing this. I missed writing so much! I am in the mood to share something today so I thought why not get this started... again. Upon checking my blog’s archives, I saw that the last blog I published was 2 years ago already. Obviously, I failed to keep a record on how I was doing. Let’s see, well. I transferred to another company and am staying for a year now, I started my online shop and finally entered graduate school. Wow, that’s surprisingly how busy I became. With so much on my plate, I decided to come up with these 5 easy ways on how to maintain positive energy.
Here are my ways on how I choose to stay positive.
Tip number 1: Start the day by complimenting yourself.
Every morning when I wake up after I say a little prayer, I face the mirror. Then I start saying little affirmations to start feeling uplifted like, "Oh, your eyes look less puffy today.” or “Wow! that moisturizer worked on you! Nice!"
This became my way of starting positive energy or a good vibe and then when I see someone, I smile, greet them, and give them a compliment because in that way you are also sharing the same positive energy you already have and who knows? You might just make that person's day by that small act of kindness.
Tip number 2: Filter the accounts you are following on social media.
As for me, I wish to have a detox on social media but I can't because it is what I do for a living haha! I'm currently a social media executive and also run an online shop so I need to keep myself updated on the consistently emerging trends. So, I just filtered which accounts are worth following. For example, I follow accounts that post positive quotes so when I browse my feed I will be able to read texts that are encouraging and make me feel good. Then I also follow accounts that stand for advocacy like @shetalksasia and @forwomenwhoroars, these accounts are for woman empowerment, @liferisksph for mental health awareness and of course, I follow @thepurposefulcreative and Morgan Harper Nichols for inspirational quotes.
Tip number 3: Make time to pamper yourself.
Read a book, have your nails or hair done, have an out-of-town trip or something this will contribute to your well being. Take a break, have it your way. Make time to rest and relax. Pamper yourself because remember, you deserve it.
Tip number 4: Surround yourself with optimists.
As cliche as this statement would sound, it is still very important to remain positive. Surround yourself with people who have a positive mindset. Be with people who have mastered the art and skill of "deadma" haha! Because for me, it is never wrong to be picky of wanting who to be with just make sure you are with the right company.
And last but most definitely not the least is tip number 5: Keep a gratitude journal.
I have been practicing this since the start of the year and I must say it helped me reframe the way I think. I became better in looking at the brighter side. I am writing it all down on my planner which I bring every day. I write my takeaways for every podcast and also the good things I witnessed on a particular day.
It is indeed a struggle to focus on being positive when you have so much to deal with but remember, if you find a learning moment in every situation, that is how you win.

One thing I am thankful for in this relationship is as it grows, it still surprises us, not with the grandest things but with the littlest and most genuine things we both do to nurture it. ❤️
