He’s sure that she has to be used to this – after all, Verónica Lodge hasn’t ever been a quiet subject. Even from his side of the red vinyl booth he knows that. Never one for tabloids or anything in that realm of media – or much media of any kind – he’s heard the gossip well enough to know she’s the IT girl in New York. He doubts their town’s small charm will change that, especially when people die for excitement in their very own Holcomb. A slight moue of distaste on his lips, he doesn’t enjoy being questioned ( but loves to do it well enough himself ) and with an air of disinterest simply shrugs at her comment about just how interesting his mom’s life is. He wants to probe with how so, but says nothing to the point. “I’m sure your super fans might’ve been able to answer that one without glancing at the back of the card,” he says with a wry smile. “How long are you planning on staying, anyways?”
