Farm to Table in Park City
Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We ate every bite and almost forgot to take a picture. We were unsure of this place at the beginning (due to it’s odd and uncharacteristic location in an indoor mall and an obnoxious $70 steak named “THE BALLER”) but everything else about this place was outstanding. Ignacio, our server, seemed invested in every aspect of the food and drinks and was happy to tell us about the farmer’s they used. He seemed to speak about them as though they were friends, not just name dropping to raise the prices. We did have trout during this meal but what truly stood out was the produce! Perfectly ripe peaches, smoky roasted eggplant, crispy green beans and corn made our bellies and hearts happy that we didn’t miss out on the meal! (The menu not only changes seasonally, but also nightly, so you will rarely eat the same meal twice) Also, being a Kentucky girl I was especially impressed that most of their signature cocktails used Bourbon, Rye or Whiskey as their main ingredient. Bold move, Handle.

Our adventure begins with a hike and a hankerin’ for a burger...
We hiked outside of Kamas, Utah to Ruth Lake. This turned out to be the most beautiful hike either one of us had ever been on. The lake was crystal clear and the plants were a juxtaposition of desert succulent and water loving shade plants, with huge rocks dotted with neon green moss. It was amazing. On our way back, all I wanted was a cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake. And Dick’s was the perfect snack shack for my craving.  The burger was just what you’d expect at a place like this: thin, griddled, loaded with cheap toppings but as a nice surprise it was served on a focaccia bun. And the “milkshake” was basically a giant cup of vanilla soft serve. Exactly what I wanted.
