Statement Of Intent
I wanted to create a machine that would support a piece of metal as I wrapped it in twine.
By creating these nine editions I aimed to explore and accentuate the natural qualities of metal and twine. I wanted to exaggerate each editions varied appearances, although each piece was made with the same process.
By hanging the forms they loose their static quality of still objects and appear to hover and almost vibrate.
I intentionally lit the piece to exaggerate how drastically different each form can appear at different angles. Each angle allows to viewer to witness the pieces unique textures and forms.
I was able to use the original machine to display the creation and hang my editions.
